Mission To America exists as a ministry to ministers. We help support Christian street ministers in the United States and Canada.

Most of the ministers listed at this web site operate independently of any denomination or religious organization. They are apostles, prophets, and evangelists, going out into the streets to talk to people where they are, preaching the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Because they are not directly sponsored by any organization, they are free to speak the truth as the Lord directs. But a second effect of that independence is uncertainty of financial and prayer support. These ministers are independent of any organization, but they are not independent of the church. They are a part of the church that is the Body of Christ, and as such, they are worthy of your support.

You may be put off by the appearance of some street ministers. Many of them dress in robes that make them look like authentic biblical characters. Some carry large wooden crosses. This is not because they are part of some strange cult. Nor is it because they want to draw attention to themselves. These men of God want to draw attention to the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ. They have given up homes, land, friends, family, and possessions to answer the call of Jesus to leave all and follow Him. The robes and the cross are to call attention only to the sacrifice that Jesus made on our behalf. Jesus Christ -- the only begotten Son of the living God -- lived a sinless life and then gave up that life on a wooden cross 2000 years ago, to pay the price for your sin and my sin, so that we can enter into a love relationship with God the Father. Not all of the ministers listed here carry the cross. Some, like Rescue Atlanta and The Fishermen Ministry, have a permanent location and minister in a different fashion from the cross-bearers. Yet, these too can be considered street ministries because they take the gospel out into the streets and are not concerned with maintaining a denominational tradition so much as maintaining the simplicity of the gospel: Jesus Christ alone, and Him crucified for us.

So, if you are ready to get out of your comfort zone, and jump into the rough-and-tumble of frontlines warfare for the Kingdom of God, join us on the streets of America! If you can't join us physically, then join us through prayer and financial support. How? That's easy! Read up on the ministries supported here, e-mail the ministers that the Lord pricks your heart about, request a copy of their newsletter. Send them money as the Lord leads, send birthday cards and Christmas gifts for their family, invite them to speak at your church, and pray for them. You don't invade Satan's turf without encountering resistance, and prayer is one way you can strengthen the forces of God!
