| PLANTING ITS ROOTS ACROSS AMERICA Straight from the barren wasteland of Phoenix, Arizona, comes one of the most hard hitting bands of its kind--MISSION66! An electrifying new surge of hard music is escalating. It is out of this groundswell that the band MISSION66 emerges with a roar, spreading rock across America and throughout the music industry. Forming late in the year 2001, MISSION66 is piloted by five extremely driven and talented musicians plotting their own course starting first with their hometown Phoenix. They label their sound as "Southwest Stomp". The style of this band defines how it should be done. Employing an invigorating new brand of hard rock, MISSION66 draws heavily from a traditional rock-influenced background while injecting their own modern twist. Prepare yourself for a smooth ride of controlled angst--MISSION66. Emerging from the ashes of such national bands as: Lynch Mob (Kotch/EMI), N17 (Slipdisc /Mercury /Universal) and Cause for Alarm ( Victory), members of this outfit have seen what it is like to be a recording artist. Quickly embraced by the Phoenix rock scene with explosive and memorable live shows, this band focuses on giving its audience the experience of a concert that will compel fans to come back for more. From start to finish, MISSION66 pack all the necessary aggression to make it in today's metal world. The incorporation of heavy grunge-like breakdowns and bridges really help to distance them a bit from the current competition. "The Silent Sessions", a 5 song demo released in October 2001, has more than caught people's attention. Kevin at Jackson Guitars says, "Seriously though...I get tons of music here at the Jackson mother ship. MISSION66 put a ton of effort and emotion into the music and it shows. It's always got a smokin' groove. MISSION66 has got some great groove and some of the thickest guitar I've heard anywhere. The vocals are great and up front with a pile of attitude. The first track is a perfect example. It's all crisp and clear. Makes me wanna get up go "HELL YA!"...and now I'm just waiting for more, ya know." Combining all the best elements of old and modern metal, MISSION66 shows off their own brand of "heavy" with powerful songs like "Jaded" and "Unbroken". Singer Kirk Harper explodes with pounding melodies that stick in your head and leave you singing tunes like "Sorry". J.
