The Launch Pad

The Man The Myth
The Legend
He came to the SEW and assumed the moniker Miami Missile which he quickly copyrighted to prevent a 'Doink' scenario. He formed a stable within his first week with fellow 'green' wrestlers, Executioner, The Ultimate Destroyer and a guy most famous for being Blade? He lost his first match through inteference after The Ultimate Destroyer sent a coupla hundred volts
of electricity through his body via a cattle prod. He should have seen the writing on the wall but instead trusted his better judgement, he went through two more matches, losing to the maniac known only as 'Diablo' and then beating Legion. He the left the Rebels for the
Hart Foundation but ended up screwing them and returning to the Rebels via losing a battle royal for the US title in which every man in the ring went after Miami. He did nothing
significant in the SEW but used it as a valuable learning experience. He left the SEW after losing a 'Loser leaves town' match against Shawn Michaels.

He was next seen two months later in the BSW (Big Shot Wrestling Federation) and formed Degeneration-X with Spaz and HBK. He feuded with 'golden boy' Rocko Ramone and came out successful before capturing the European title in a rumble.

The BSW soon folded and he joined the IPWF and again won the European title, he reunited with HBK and Spaz but Spaz left for his own fed and he left after seeing another wrestler being screwed by top management and losing his title and so left before anything could happen to him.

Miami then joined Big Time Wrestling. BTW was run by former SEW member Taker and was promptly with old boys Wrath and Bodine from SEW. He had moderate success losing the same as he won but he also managed to beat Express , Express had only lost twice in two years! Even sweeter was that this victory marked Miami's first ever World Title reign. However the BTW although well organised it started to have headquarter problems and so Miami started taking indy dates.

The Inferno though was what brought Miami out of the indies and back into the limelight. He feuded with Taker in what was a semi-shoot after Taker made some semi-shoot comments about the way Miami handled himself after his departure from the BTW. The big match never came off though because the Inferno folded after four cards.

The PWF was introduced to Miami through Executioner where The Living Legend formed Degeneration X with Cory Phoenix and feuded with then World Champion ImpacT and his stable Hardcore Havoc, DX captured the tag straps and both he and Phoenix fought ImpacT for the title in a triple threat match, Miami Missile won and turned on his partner to form the nWo with Executioner. He cited lack of creativity as his reason for screwing Phoenix. The PWF then folded leaving leaving Miami with nothing to do. The Chairman of the IPWF contacted the now free-agent and decided to have him return.

The IPWF had grown strong during Miami's absence. Former SEW members like Nihil , Wrath and Executioner filled its doors as well as X-Zilary. The first task for the freshly turned face was put against regular promo area wasters 'The Tiger Boys' various contest ended with Miami beating The Tiger Boys and this IPWF era is regarded as Miami at his best and he has even said that it was his favourite time so far in the business. He then retired their sorry asses at Backlash. Then he set his sights on the United States title held by X-Zilary, this feud lasted up till WrestleMania when Miami won the belt and then again reformed a Degeneration-x this time with HHH and HHH's running buddy 'Nationwide'. This union then went into King Of The Ring with HHH as World Champion , Nationwide as European Champion and Miami as United States Champion. At King Of The Ring though Miami turned his back on his fans and Degeneration-X and hooked up with old SEW buddies Nihil and Wrath in what was then seen as the most dominant stable in the IPWF ... 'The Triad'. This was formed after Miami lost his first ever match in the IPWF to Wrath in the King Of The Ring tournament after various run-ins from the trio in each others matches made the viewer worried. The trio were together because they were the elite. Disaster struck as the IPWF had to close its doors and each Triad member struggled from the September of 2000 onwards. Wrath has never again been in competitive competition, Nihil has resurfaced from time to time but he has become reclused. Miami lucked out though and joined the biggest federation or one of them in the IML , a feeder to the IWO of Jamie Kosoy, however because of the pressure (don't join email feds, 50 new messages a day of roleplays justs gets tiresome!) he quit and went into a sabbatical period until May/June 2001 when he joined the 2XWF.

Over the years Miami had trained various students and had known one in particular through an ex-independent federation tag team partner , Diamond X. The trainee's name? Dragon...Miami taught him everything he could but did not teach Dragon everything Miami knew just everything Dragon knew. Dragon had tried to make it on his own after a face turn and a largely unimpressive singles run in the independents. In the 2XWF the two were put in for the World Title where in a Hell In A Cell match Miami won. This led to the heel stable including Miami (2XWF spokesperson) 'The Bookers' to feud with the face team of 'The Main Event ' which included the Prez, VP and Dragon in the stable. Miami and Dragon feuded for two excitement filled months before Miami lost the title to Dragon in a ladder match thus passing the torch in Miami's favourite match-up , a ladder match. What does the future hold? Well after Miami was revealed as the hitman trying to take out perennial 2XWF fan favourite Tommy Calitre who knows?
