She looked around curiously at her surroundings. The room was large, with a sleigh bed across from the door. The walls paneled a dark maple, like the furniture through out the room a large armoire to her left.  The dresser covering the length of the wall on the furthest left wall, in the far right corner a red velvet couch, coffee table and two high backed chairs grouped together. Torches on the walls and a fireplace in the middle of the farthest right wall, a door down that wall, four ceiling to about 2 feet above the floor windows with gold curtains covering them, two night tables beside the bed. Her legs finally carried her to one of the chairs, where she sat stiffly willing herself to relax all the while waiting for the man she needed to see come. Finally, after what felt like an eternity but was only mere minutes he came in walking confidently over to her and took the seat across from her, his smile beguiling, his eyes calm.

“I have a proposition for you…,” she said at once.

“I’m all ears…” he said his lips twitching in a coy smile. She suppressed the urge to jump him as she never in her entire existence felt such carnal urges course through her when she looked at this man.

For the next thirty minutes she presented her proposal, gave her reasons why she wanted to do this. Whatever he had been expecting this was not it, but by the time she finished talking she was certain his answer would be positive.

“Why me?” He finally asked after her speech, his eyes narrowed as he looked at her, his expression serious, voice low. Instead of answering she stood up and walked around the coffee table separating them, he sat back in his chair, his eyes never leaving her face. With grace and poise, she never knew she possessed, she sat down in his lap placing one arm around his neck and in a soft voice purred seductively.

“If my signals haven’t been clear enough…I would be more then happy… to give you a demonstration for the answer to your question…” she said as she closed her eyes, before smiling…

“Oh god…” Mione moaned softly as she tossed and turned.

“Sweetheart wake up…” Charlie said as he wrapped his strong arms around her and held her. She breathed in, taking deep slow breaths, as he rubbed her back.

“What time is it?” She whispered as she lay back, pulling him back down with her.

“A little after six, do you want to talk about it?” He asked quietly as he looked at her, in the early morning sun streaming through her window. She turned and reached for the lamp on her night table. The room filled with dim light.

“It’s almost not real, but it’s different, Like I don’t know, I’ve replayed it in my mind a thousand times, but when I see it in my dream it’s different Charlie, Almost like it’s not…” Mione stopped as she looked down.

“Do you think it could be…a premonition?” he asked lightly. Knowing she did not believe in that stuff but all the same, unsure of another way to describe these dreams.

“Actually yes, I think so, when I was little I use to have a recurring dream, It wasn’t scary, and I always compare it to that. This is what it feels like…I don’t know maybe it’s my hormones acting up?” Mione said with a smirk, as she reached up and touched his rough cheek; his pressed his hand to hers. Wondering briefly if she realized how much she was like him.

“Your hormones are fine, hungry love?” he asked absently as he kissed her on the lips, before straightening and sitting up. The blanket fell exposing the pale peach silk nightgown she wore. He turned his head, the sight too much to take.

“What’s wrong?” She asked as she sat up, her brown eyes searching. He smiled imaging the wheels beneath the mop of chestnut curls turning under her head.

“I got to head back out to Romania for the week, I hate leaving so soon after I just got back.” He said gently as he looked at her, he reached forward and caressed her cheek. She closed her eyes and leaned into his hand. He groaned quietly as his resolve dissolved and in a quiet voice he said

“I want you to know no matter what happens from here that I love you, and that these past several months have been the best of my life. The fact that you choose me, to spend your precious time with make me all the happier to say that I  was with a truly generous woman who’s love for other’s was the most selfless act of kindness I had ever seen. For that I am honored.” Charlie said as he kissed her, he kissed her with all his pent up passion, with his heart aching desire that consumed him, he kissed her with every fiber of his being. Finally kissing her with the love that coursed through his veins, for what he knew was never going to be his. He pulled back and looked at her, eyes closed, lips moist from his heated kiss, face flushed. He took a picture of this in his mind, wanting to remember her like this, his mental picture of her to carry him through.

“I love you too” she said softly, her voice breathless.

“I know…come on let’s go get you some breakfast.”

He helped her out of bed, his hand on her back. She was a little over 4 months pregnant now, her belly just starting to show, but very firm. He put his hand around her waist and walked her across the expansion of the vast bedroom, to the bathroom, where he stopped at the door to let her do her morning rituals. He moved to the chair closest to the bed, and grabbed the shirt and pants he had thrown there last night. He walked out the room and down the hall, past several doors, down flights of steps, past unmoving portraits, small tables with vases of flowers, and dimly light torch shaped lights. Finally coming to a swinging door, to find a young woman in her earlier 30’s sitting in the kitchen sipping coffee along with another woman whom still amazed Charlie with her uncanny resemblance to the woman he loved.

“Good Morning Mrs. Montgomery, Carrie, she’s up so if you want to go help her…” He trailed off as he took a seat.

“Of course, how was she feeling?” Carrie asked as she stood up.

“Fine…” he said briskly as he pulled out his wand from his back pocket and pointed it at a cupboard door. A moment later a mug appeared, filled with coffee in front of him. He watched the expression on her face, before glancing briefly at the older woman whose expression never changed. Carrie walked out of the room he waited a few moments till in a terse voice asked quiet suddenly as the thought just entered his mind.

“So who was it?” Charlie asked as he looked at her. His brown eyes narrowed as he looked at the woman.

“Beg your pardon?” she asked lightly, her large eyes looking on curiously.

“I have to leave on a mission, So I want to know before I leave, Who was the witch or wizard you knew that turned you off to magic, I doubt it was Mione, She can’t do magic in front of you, So who was it?” Charlie asked expectantly.

“Why do you think I don’t like magic?” She asked lightly, carefully avoiding the question.

“Because you eyes flash anytime I perform a spell, you’re a great actress Mrs. Montgomery…I commend you…Fine don’t tell me, but I’ll warn you now, If there’s anything your not telling us about, and anything happens her, I’ll be on you quicker then white on rice, got it..” He said as he looked at Eme, his face like stone, but the door swung open and Harry followed by Ron and Ginny walked in. He smiled as the three acting as if nothing was going on. Ron and Ginny looked at their older brother, both with similar looks of sadness in their eyes; Harry looked on with an expression of calm detachment. Wanting to throw himself on his sword, he took a deep breath, but knew it would fall on deaf ears. So instead, he plastered a smile on his face and said briskly.

“I’m heading back to Romania today, so you three have fun and watch out for one another ok.” Charlie said as he took a sip off his coffee.

Since finding out his best friend was pregnant, Harry had ceased to amaze him. Charlie was always impressed with the young wizard, for his bravery and his magical prowess. The recklessness of last year, and the Death of his godfather caused a change in the boy that few could not see and even fewer could not believe. If nothing else, Charlie felt bad for the enemy, Harry would be their worst nightmare. He had taken the news well, Charlie actually more fearful then Mione on her best friends’ reaction, but things had worked out ok. There was an understanding between the two men, and for that, Charlie was thankful.

“So what’s for breakfast? Are you still coming with us?” Mione asked as she walked into the kitchen, dressed in a yellow sleeveless dress, her hair pulled up in a loose bun, Carrie following closely behind her.

“Cant’ stay, you four be careful today.” Charlie said as he stood up and pulled out her chair, she sat down and looked up at him, her brown eyes filled with sadness. He leaned down and kissed her softly on the lips the tenderness in the kiss almost breaking his heart.

“I love you…I’ll see you soon. Be good.” He said with a grin. She smiled and squeezed his hand.

“See you soon...” she said softly. He nodded briefly, before with a soft creak he dissapperated.

“I don’t like him” Eme said briskly as soon as he was gone.

“What!” The four teens yelled at once.

“I don’t like him…No offense to you two. I like your family very much, but I don’t care for your brother in the least. His manners are rude, his tone abrupt and I’d rather see you with Ron or Harry. Hell I rather see you with Ginny, anybody but him…He’s not for you. You can bare his children but I’ll be damned if you marry him…Don’t ever bring him here again.” Eme said chillingly as she looked her granddaughter. The look on Mione’s face was of complete shock, but change quickly to civil calm within a blink of an eye. She stood up and in the same chilling voice her grandmother just use said

“Then I’m leaving, because if you can’t accept him, how do I know you won’t accept the children…Goodbye Nana…” Mione said as she turned and walked away.

“Don’t go sweetheart…stay…I love you…” Eme said as she stood up. Without a word, she kept walking as if the words her grandmother just said didn’t happen. Harry, Ron and Ginny got up and followed.

“Remus should be here in an hour, So we meet back down in the foyer in 45 minutes…excuse me.” Mione said in a quiet voice as she walked along, her head held high, steps graceful and fluid.

“Mye you can come stay with us if you want, Mum’s real excited about all this anyway.” Ginny said sincerely.

“Thanks…” Mione said as she kept walking. Acknowledging neither the invitation nor her friend.

It was an hour later that Remus found the four teens in the foyer, the expression on his face was one of confusion. “What’s going on?” He asked quickly, his thin lips ceased in a frown.

“We’re leaving…can you make me a portkey I’d like to go back home.” Mione said solemn voice.

“Sure did you still want to go shopping?” Remus asked quickly.

“Yes, did you three want to come over to my house?” she asked as she looked at them. All three nodded, her quiet reserve very eerie, all three wanting to make sure she was ok.

“Ok I’ll shrink your trunks then we’ll go.” Remus said as he pulled out his wand and pointed it at the trunks mutter “Deflateous”. The trunks shrinking to the size of a small stone, the four picked them up and pocketed them into the robes that had put on over their Muggle clothes.  They group walked out to the black suburban parked by the front of the steps. Harry watching as an owl flew above them and the disillusion wizards that were flying above, the sunlight reflecting off their chameleon camouflage.

“Hey you four why so gloom?” Tonks asked as they climbed in, Mad-Eye to her left. Remus closed the door, and climbed into the back seat, Ron, Mione and Harry in the middle, Ginny joined Remus in the backseat.

“Not now, Tonks, I got a couple of questions on Auror training.”  Harry said quickly as he looked at his friend, whom was sitting stiff as a board next to him. Tonks was more then happy to oblige. She told him how it was set up, test that he would need to take, the grades he need, the different branches. He listened intently as he sat next to his friend. Ron and Ginny joining the conversation, then Mione, Harry breathe a sigh of relief. The ride went by very quick and before they knew it, the group was pulling up to the Leaky Cauldron. Remus and Mad-Eye getting out first, followed by Harry, Ginny, Mione then Ron, lastly by Tonks. He looked up again checking to see if his extra guard was still following, before Remus held open the door to the ancient bar and the group walked in single file. Mad-Eye pushing him along, when he looked back at the now quiet brown-haired woman. However, the look was not one of sadness like the one he expected, it was a look of deep thought, one he knew so well.

“What is it?” He asked curiously. As they walked through the back door of the bar, leading out to the courtyard.

“I don’t know, there’s something wrong…I just can’t figure it out…” She said irritably, her eyes flashing, lips pressed in a thin line. She marched forward and tapped the brick. The hole appeared and within seconds, a large archway appeared. Harry preoccupied with his friend and her usual mysterious statement was barely aware of his surroundings as they walked towards the bank. However, it was the feeling of cold that made him look around, the spin chilling feeling of the hairs on his neck raising and running ripples down his spin, that made him realize something other then his guard, and the strangers around him were by themselves. It was as if everything happened in slow motion after that…In a faraway voice he heard Remus yelled, “GET THEM IN THE BANK”.  The people began screaming as the Dementors started to land the Death eaters appeared and spells began to fire.  Ignoring the pull on the back of his shirt, Harry jumped back down the steps, he heard a chorus of “NOOOO”… Streaks of Red, Green, Violet and Yellow flew past him, and an assortment of other color spells flew past him. He focused on as many of the black ghostly shapes and black masked people as possible

Petrificus Totalus” Harry yelled as he heard from somewhere behind him Mione yelled “Stupefy” as the same time he heard Ron and Ginny yell “Expecto Partronum”. He spun around to see the two Dementors take flight and the masked Deatheater fall to the ground.

“Harry we got to get out of here…” Mione yelled as she grabbed his hand, but the rumbling of the ground made them stop as they saw them… no less then 20 fully-grown mountain trolls stomping from Knockturn Alley. He looked around quickly assessing the situation. People were laying on the street some injured by the Deatheaters, others by Dementors. He ran towards the side of the bank, Ron and Ginny following. Halfway to the bank everything they stopped, as all sound had ceased to a halt. Then with a force like nothing they ever felt, The foursome fell to the ground, the sky darkened , the rumbling caused by the Trolls was nothing compared as the ground shook, Glass from the busted up shops exploded shattering everywhere. They covered their heads and faces, smoke billowed from the stores that had caught fire, and through all the chaos Harry saw one man. He was tall well over 6 ft, with hair as black as midnight and eyes as dark and bottomless as holes, skin so pale it appeared translucent, and lips so red, they looked like blood. Dressed in head to toe black, his cape billowed in the lightly in the wind, he smirked mirthless as he walked towards the group, passing spells bounced off an invisible field around him and Harry’s scar burned as he got closer. The group stumbled to their feet, Harry shielding Mione as he faced the New transformed Lord Voldemort, but he’d be damned if he would let him hurt anyone he knew, his squeezed Mione’s hand as he felt her shiver. His eyes never leaving the face of his enemy, his wand pointed at the man that took so much from him, their faces flashing behind his mind’s eye.

“I didn’t come to play with you today Harry…” Voldemort said casually as he tilted his head as if this was a perfectly normal conversation. He walked slowly around them like a cat casing his prey.

“What do you want?” Harry asked harshly as he turned keeping his arm wrapped around Mione from behind as Voldemort circled them. He laughed mirthlessly as if all this was a game.

“Such the noble Knight, to protect the fair maiden, not surprising as her blood is 1/8 veela, and from what I heard she’s not as innocent as I hoped…” Voldemort said as he looked at her, He stopped and the three stood their in complete silence.

“But what would that matter to you Tom…” Albus asked lightly, as he stepped forward standing in front of Harry and Mione, coming seemingly out of nowhere. Harry relaxed momentary upon seeing the older wizard.

“Not much really, I don’t like my women that clean…” Voldemort said with a smirk, Harry made to lunge, but was held back by strong hand on his arm. He felt a firm push as Mione stepped forward wand drawn as she stepped with in 10 feet of the monster that haunted his dreams.

“What makes you think you could have me in the first place?” Mione asked in her ever calm voice as she stood their, he waved his hand and said in a light voice.

“You need not draw your wand. I would never harm a hair on your head, as for why you would join me. Let’s just say I know you better then you know yourself. I know what your heart desires as much as I know myself, and in time, you will come to me. You will beg me to answer the questions that plague that pretty little head of yours, like I told May I will not wait forever, I will see you soon, Good bye Lady Granger, Gentleman…” Tom finished eloquently and with a whip of his cloak, he dissapperated.

A/N  sorry that took so long, I’m back at school, but I will try to get these up as soon as possible.
