Chap 4:

The rest of the week passed quickly. Harry and Mione spent all their time with his family. After that first night at His great-grandmother’s home when he realized he loved Mione, He was at loss as to how to tell her. He didn’t want to scare her, but at the same time, he wanted to do say this to her because she meant so much to him. Her parents left for a few days to go to a conference in Munich. The dreams of Sirius and The woman stopped completely. Anna and Albus or anyone else for that matter didn’t say anything about their sleeping arrangement. The night before Harry and the Granger’s were to go back Theo and his children and all his family held a grand ball for Albus and Anna’s 50th anniversary much to both of their protest. The evening went well both Harry and Mione in their dress robes. The ball lasted late into the night the following morning with many hugs and kisses and tears Harry and the Granger’s left to fly back home. The following day Harry and Mione would be getting their awards from the Minister of Magic. However, what Harry and the other’s didn’t expect was to be stopped in the Hawthorn by four Ministry officials once departing the plane and being taken to the Ministry of Magic at once, Kingsley one of the four men. They took the foursome to Auror Headquarters’ and given the bad news. That at approximately 4:00 am that morning the Dark Mark was spotted over the Grangers house, the house was then searched but there were no disturbances. Neighbor’s reported seeing several cloaked figures leaving the home at around 5:00 and called the police.

“Ok so let me get this straight, Fred Jorgensen saw about 12 people leaving my home this morning at about 5:00, one pulled out what he assumed was a stick, but was a wand and cast the spell making the Dark Mark appear above our home, but both your law enforcement and Police found nothing wrong with the inside of our home…this is correct…right?” Edward asked calmly as he looked at the men and women of the room.

“Yes, Mr. Granger that’s right.” Kingsley Shacklebot said in deep voice. Helen and Edward looked at one another. Harry and Mione watched in silence, the look that passed across Edwards face was one Harry thought he never expect. Edward face was like stone, his deep browns holding a note of such sadness and regret as he looked at Helen then Hermione that Harry for the life of himself couldn’t understand why the look he passed to his wife and child was filled with such grief.

“Dr.’s Grangers, under magical law, only your daughter can be put into protection, As muggles it would up to your law enforcement system to decide how to handle your protection, But we would be able to help.” Kingsley said in a calm voice as he went on.

“But as an Arcadian and Magid we would be under your protection correct?” Edward asked in a strained voice as he looked at the tall black man. Whatever the group of Wizard and witches was expecting it was not those words. The deafening silence that fell over the group was astounding. Hermione and Helen’s heads spun so fast it looked like they both hurt their necks as they looked at him.

“Daddy what are you talking about…” Mione asked as she looked at her father, her eyes looking at him in disbelief.

“Edward, what are you…” Helen asked as she looked at her husband as if she never had seen him.

“I’ll explain it after we leave, We thank you for your help, Helen, Angel, Harry come along…” Edward said in a calm voice as he stood up, helping Helen to her feet. The shock of Edward’s words still filling Harry’s head, he could barely remember getting up following the others, it was as if everything moved in slow motion. They foursome reached the Atrium, and walked past the guard…none of them speaking. They all crammed into the visitor phone booth and got back up to the surface.  Edward in the lead, Harry, followed by Hermione then Helen in the tail, the walked out of the alley and into the busy street. Edward turned and looked at Harry

“Harry call you call the Knight Bus?” Edward asked quietly. With a nod Harry pulled out his wand and stepped up to the curb. It was seconds later with a loud BANG a violent purple triple-decker bus appeared before them, Helen  hurried them on before the conductor an gangly pimpled face man by the name of Stan who started to say something before Edward stepped up to him and in a cool voice.

“You shout his name and I’ll knock you to the floor got it…” Edward said firmly. Edward handed him a few gold coins as Helen found him and Hermione seats on the second deck, Edward join them a few minutes later. The bus lurched and then was off, Ernie showing his usual competency with driving. The ride was very short and before they had time to catch their breath they were walking down the seedy street of Grimmuld Place. The foursome stopped between 11 and 13 and watched as a black door with a silver serpent handle appeared, Edward pulled a key from his pocket and shoved it into a rusted lock and turned it quickly. The door swung open and Helen ushered them in. Harry stopped at once and looked around wondering briefly if he was in the right place. The once dank, dark and derelict hall was completely different. The pictures of Sirius’s family were gone, even the one of his mother, the elf-heads on the walls missing as was the troll leg coat rack, the old thoroughbred carpet gone. The walls were now papered gold; the hardwood gleamed softly in the several torches on the wall, The chandler shined brightly.

“Harry, I hope you don’t mind, Sirius left me the key, Even though the house is yours and if this too much an intrusion, I hope you don’t mind if we stay?” Edward said in calm voice as he looked at him.

“No, Not at all…You knew my godfather?” Harry asked in disbelief, eyes wide with shock.

“Yes, very well, Your bags should be in your room, Albus made a few changes why don’t you two go have a look around, freshen up and I’ll call you once the other members are here.” Edward said in his ever calm voice. Still too stunned to think he nodded and walked upstairs following Mione following in his wake. Harry reached the second floor and open the door to the room he had shared with Ron, barely registering the changes. He turned and looked at Mione. Without a word, he walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her guiding her too the bed.  They stayed like this till Ron and Ginny walked in.

“Hey how was Germany? I was thanking Merlin that both of you were there.” Ron said lightly as he looked at them.

“Are you too ok?” Ginny asked as she looked at them with a frown.

“What, ya Germany was great…Angel I’m going to get you something to drink, are you alright.” Harry asked as he looked at her.

“God Harry am I in a dream…did he really say Arcadian and Magid?” Mione asked as she looked at him. Ron and Ginny looked on in shock.

“Yes and I’m sure there a logical explanation...how about we go…” He stopped as his scar seared with a pain so sever he thought he was being possessed again. He clutched his scar and fell to his knees, retching all over the floor, He could barely here someone shouting for help, He began to shake then everything went blank

He was standing on a sidewalk looking up, it was late and very dark, close to midnight…The brick building was old…it had been there for years, three stories, with several windows on each level, but it was one window he was looking at in particular. Second from the right on the top floor, her window, he first gazed upon her at that window. It had been over 6 months now since that first night and even then he still looked at that window hoping to catch a glimpse of her. He had seen her several  time at that window, her peach face pressed against the smooth glass, The riot of Blond curls laying over her shoulders and surrounding her heart-shaped face, tears falling from those vivid blues. He wanted her…He wanted her straight away; he wanted to see those lush full lips smile, and those deep blue eyes to shine, upon him. Tonight would be the night…Tonight she would never cry again. She would never feel pain, or humiliation. For he knew what went on at that place…why she shed those tears and he, He alone would take that pain away, he had planned this carefully, He would not just take and not give in return…She would be better because of him. He lifted his arm and looked at the expensive silver watch on his pale wrist…11:55. He stood there waiting, still looking at the window neither acknowledging the sound of several small pops nor discontinuing his perusal of the derelict building. As he stood there he could not honestly think of any building he despised more then this one. Not even The Ministry of Magic or Hogwarts could compare to this building. He coveted the place with sadistic satisfaction…Tonight was the last day it would be here and he was making damn sure nothing like would take it’s place, the Horrors that he and countless others lived through would no longer exist. The muggles should thank him for this one, As this place was nothing but a breeding hole of hatred, filled with people whom were filled with depraved indifference and sickening cruelty. If Tom hadn’t hated muggles before he went to Hogwarts, He certainly did now. Knowing what he knows, seeing as he sees, and doing as he does. This was the beginning and end of a circle. The last and finally consummations to true unbridle darkness. He smiled cruel and in bone chilling voice.

“For 6 months now, I’ve watched this place…I had planned on doing this months ago, ridding myself of this hovel, but was stopped. As I stood here a light came on in that window…” Tom said as he pointed to the second window on the right top floor.

“I saw a woman…girl crying, her face pressed to the glass, tears streaming down her peach face and I felt awful…for I knew what would make her cry like that, having been threw the same myself…For months now I’ve come back to see if she would reappear again…and she has, every Friday night at 12 o’clock. This will be my last act of kindness, my last to a breed of human that is not worthy of my goodness…For I will spare her…As for the children just make it quick for them, the Adults do as slowly as you want. Let them suffer for their acts of cruelty against humanity. One my count three…two…one…”

With a pop he appeared, He looked around the dark room and saw her, moonlight streaming over the beautiful face of his Angel…a bruise on her chin. Her riot of curls spread across the stiff white sheets, thin white sheet at her waist full breast pressed against the thin white nightgown. He kneeled down reached under her Knees and shoulders and stood up. She stirred but with a small pop he disapperated.

“Is it always that bad?” Helen asked in a softly her voice turning in and out like a badly tuned radio.

“Worse…” Mione, Ginny and Ron said at once.

“We’ll thank goodness he wasn’t alone…how long has it been since his last attack?” Molly asked as Harry felt a cool cloth pressed to his forehead.

“Ok Molly, Helen, stop coddling him, he 16 not 6.” Edward said lightly. Harry’s eyes snapped open and he looked around, Molly and Helen were on his right, Mione on his left, Ron and Ginny standing behind her and Edward was leaning against the door, a small smile playing at his lips.

“Hey, how you feeling?” Mione asked with a smile as she looked at him, brown eyes filled with a relief, she squeezed his hand lightly and his aching head, began to ease.

“I’m ok, can you do that again?” Harry asked as he squeezed her hand again. The pain seemed to disappear just by the simplest of touches.

“That helps?” She asked inquisitively as she put her other hand on his forehead, It was the same feeling he got when he kissed her, a sense of complete peace, a world were pain did not exist.

“Wow, how do you do that?” He asked as he sat up, his energy completely refilled.

“I don’t know…” Mione said with a shrug.

“Not that I want to interrupt but can I speak to Harry alone for a bit.”  Edward said in a brisk voice.

“Edward, give the boy a break…” Helen snapped angrily as she looked at her husband.

“It’s ok Mrs. Granger…” Harry said as she sat up and looked at Helen. The realization hit him like a Mac Truck…

“Harry you sure…” Mione asked as he looked at him, noticing the way his entire body stiffened, then he turned and looked at her and it happened to fast she was unsure it even happened in the first place.

“Ya, yes, Just give us a couple of minutes…I’m fine really…” Harry said emphatically as he looked at everyone. It took several stern looks before everyone left the room, Mione kissing him softly on the lips leaving last and closing the door behind her.

“So, have you figured it out yet?” Ed asked lightly as he sat down in the chair beside his bed and pulled out a pack of cigarettes, offering the pack to him. Quiet to Ed’s surprise Harry took one and the lighter offered and lit up.

“Don’t tell Mione and yes, but how… I don’t understand?”  Harry asked as he looked at him.

“You know what Magid is right?” Ed asked briskly.

“Yes, A Magid is a muggle with a spirit of a demon and soul of a Celestial…They are not considered magical, because they themselves can’t perform magic. However if someone takes possession of them they can destroy single cities in the blink of an eye, rain fire and brimstone from the skies above, and basically, kill hundred of thousands of people with a single spell…My god, she can kill us all…Does she know about this?” Harry asked in disbelief.

“That’s what I will be telling her. However, it doesn’t end there” Edward said as he ground out the butt of his cigarette and looked at him. His brown eyes grave.

“Mione’s a Magid too?” Harry asked.

“No she’s a Celestial…a very powerful one. With that being, know Angel is at much risk to Voldemort as Helen is…He will seek to do anything for that power that resides in them. So please, be careful, the ties that bind you together can strangle you as well. Take care of Angel, protect and love her as I do. For she is meant for greatness and I believe with you by her side she will do great things.”  Edward said solemn voice.

“I promise I will…” Harry said genially with a smile.

“Good, I’ll hold you to your word.” Edward said as he held out his. Harry grabbed it and with a firm shake, both nodded. Pulling out his wand Edward got rid of the ashtray. Harry stood up and followed him out of the room. A feeling of skepticism settled over him, as he knew Edward wasn’t telling him the whole story and wondering what he just promised the man.

Several weeks later…

“Good Morning Class” Professor McGillis said in a soft smooth voice, as she entered the room. Her black tresses were flowing and violet eyes twinkling as she swept into the room her usual immaculate self. Had Harry not been completely wiped for Mione this was one woman he would make a play for, like most of the older students had been trying.

“Good Morning Ms. McGillis…” The 6th year D.A.D.A class answered back.

“So did everyone read Chapter 4 like I suggested?” Artie as she like to be called asked in cheerfully as she went to the black board. Forty hands shot into the air. Her brows rose as she looked up.

“Ok, I’m going to talk first then questions afterwards. If you didn’t take notes on the text take them now…Ok Ancient magical beings and beast…The beast you will learn about from Care of Magical Creatures, the beings from both me and History of Magic. So we start form the top…the first being Celestials, followed by Arcadians, Artesians, Druidians and Menagorians…Arcadians are warriors of the light, They fight for all that is good all that is pure, they don’t learn defensive magic they are defensive magic. Artesians posses the gift of sight, they can spend months if not years on end in the spiritual realm and come back and tell us all we all be dead two days later, unlike seers, their predictions are not recorded but they remember every word, of what they saw, what will happen and what ultimately be. Druidians are very gifted in the elements…making them excellent in Potions and Herbology, and Menagorians are very gifted in practical magic, Charms and Transfiguration are their best subjects. Four of the five of these magicals are marked one way or another. They are very rare, but very excessively powerful in the fore mentioned area of expertise. There are opposing dark beings as well, Iliad’s, Kilitorians, Medizorians, and Sargids. Now like Arcadians, Artesians, Druidians and Menagorians, they too are especially gifted in those areas as well, but polar opposites, using their abilities for evil rather then good. There’s a chart in your book showing who is opposite to whom, So turn to page 93 and Miss Patil tell me who is opposite of Arcadians?” Artie asked briskly.

“Iliad’s are the opposite of Arcadians...Iliad’s can wipe out an entire city with a single killing curse…” Parvarti answered quickly.

“Correct 5 points for Gryffindore…the opposite of Medizorians…Mr. Zambini?” She asked lightly.

“Druidians, they very gifted with poisons and poisonous plants.” Blaise said in a low voice.

“Correct 5 points to Slytherin…Now were going to do a magical resonance test, Miss Granger can you come up here, everyone else partner up…” Artie said as Mione got up and walked to the front of the room taking a set on the stool Artie conjured for her and sat quietly looking at the teacher. Scuffling noises of people getting up and partnering one another filled the room. Harry got up and settled himself next to Ron.

“Ok, First thing you need to know is this is Illegal…Performing the magical resonance spell with out just cause will land you at least 5 years in Azkaban, and the breaking of your wand. So after class Members of the Accidental Magical Reversal Squad will modify these memories. The Charm that you will cast is Resonance Revelous so class repeat after me… Resonance Revelous” Artie said in a strong clear voice.

Resonance Revelous” Everyone said at once.

“Good, now a simple swish and flick and say it again…Wands at the ready.” Artie instructed.

Resonance Revelous” Everyone said at once and watched in fascination as they began to glow different colors, Ron was a very dark violet, Harry was a vivid scarlet red. Everyone looked at one another,

“Now, bare in mind the deeper the color the stronger the magic. Take Mr. Weasley and Miss Brown for example. Violet is the color of Artesians, Mr. Weasley is dark where as Miss Brown is light Violet or Lavender like her name ironically…would be classified as a seer…Look at the chart on page 97 to see what your color means.” Artie said briskly as she turned and walked over to Mione and began talking softly to her. Harry saw by his color that he was an Arcadian… He wondered what they were saying then watched as Artie stepped back while everyone was busy looking up who they were and with a quick flick and swish and a soft Resonance Revelous from her soft musical voice Harry watched as Mione began to glow a bright almost blinding gold, then dimming slightly. Heads turned as the warm glow of their classmate filled the room, a soft sound of music filled Harry and the other ears, the smell of freshness filled their nostrils and a calming peace settled each and everyone in the room. Harry and everyone else watched as her appearance changed as well, her medium length curly brown turned black, her eyes blackened as well, her skin paled to an almost translucent white, her features sharpened as well. Artie was the first to speak her voice filled with wonder

“Amazing…are your looks suppose to change as well?”  Artie asked as she looked at her

“Yes, because my physical appearance reflects the Resonance that is in me…” Mione answered in a soft pearly voice.

“Can I ask you a few questions?” Artie asked finally coming out of her daze a gleam in her violet eyes.

“You just did, but I’ll answer some more…” Mione said with grin, a few people laughed.

“Can you resurrect the dead?” Artie asked point-blank as she looked at her.

“Not exactly, I can’t cast a spell and magically make someone come back to life, but I can rejoin a body, soul and spirit and make then whole again. When a person dies, their soul and spirit go to certain realms, the casing or body is still here on a physical plane, but the other two could be in any thousands of realms. Now the spirit can stay here as well. Then it also depends on how the person dies as well. The whole process takes so long the effort is usually not worth it. It’s not impossible, but the likely hood that I could do this in less then 100 years is improbable. Then with everything else that needs to be taken into consideration it’s not easy nor is something I’d really want to do.” Mione finished quietly with a pained smile.

“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have…” Artie said as she immediately began to apologize.

“Don’t…it’s fine…It’s quiet natural…that’s what everyone wants…Immortality…live forever, never grow old or sick, but life is not meant to be like that. Everything has to end, because then there’s no growth, no rebirth, if no one dies, nothing would ever change. I don’t believe it’s so much death that scares people it’s where they go after they are no longer here that freaks the heck out of them. I wish I could tell everyone that the place they will go is 1,000 times better then here, but I don’t know if that’s true, Most of you will go to there, some of you won’t and the rest well all that hell and damnation shit is not make-believe and makes the bad stuff her look like kids play…” Mione said with a grim smile and nod.

“Ok let’s switch to some light questions…So what would you say is a Celestial’s main purpose?” Artie asked curiously.

“Healer and I guess encyclopedia…I pretty much help with everything. Squibs for example can do magic when I’m in the room, I guess it’s the kinetic energy I have that just fills the space with so much magic anything is possible. If you have problems with a spell I can give you the boost you need in order to do it.”  Mione said amicably.

“Ok, I can probably spend the rest of the year questions and most everyone else, So how about you start from the begging to when you knew you were a celestial to where you are now…talents, what you do know and can do, etc…” Artie said with a smile.

“Ok well, I  didn’t believe I was any different from any other wizard till last year, I refused to accept this, complete denial…Then someone finally convinced me it was true. Since then, I’ve been in continual training, just like school, I have to learn these skills, My moods and attitude affect my skills, I can’t just heal someone when I myself don’t feel confident, and that’s one of the three main skills I need to learn, Self-Control, Serenity, and Distinction. There’s a great quote I know that pretty much can sum up all my training. I was born into privilege and with that come inalienable responsibility.
