Evidence:
Evalutech is an online source that serves as an evaluation tool of various technology resources.
I created a list of resources that may be helpful in my teaching of a unit on the human skeletal system.
Reflection:
When searching for applicable
resources to my unit plan, I found a wealth of information about
anything and everything pertaining to the human skeletal system.
It is often difficult to determine which resources are accurate and
appropriate , so I was happy to find a website that evaluated these
types of resources. Evalutech evaluates websites in two main
areas- Content and Technical Aspects. For my purposes, I found
that I was more interested in the quality of the content than the
technical aspects of the websites. All of the sites I have listed
have been deemed appropriate either by my research or by that of an
online source. It is important to evaluate any website or program
that you encourage children to use. Teachers should ensure that
each program is developmentally appropriate, that the information
provided is accurate and suitable, and that children can easily
navigate the site or program.
