a website that provides educators and parents with materials and
information to help children understand and appreciate our diverse
world.

Reflection:
As a teacher, we must not only teach math, reading, and science, we
must also teach acceptance and respect. In doing so, we must
include materials that focus on many cultures and lifestyles. The
internet is an excellent resource for teaching about diversity.
There are many websites that offer lesson plans and ideas to introduce
tolerance and respect. There are also many websites that children
can explore that will teach them about various cultures and affirm
acceptance. It is important that students realize that we are all
human beings, and that some of us are treated differently based solely
on the color of our skin, our sex, or our background. Students
must understand why this happens and start to think about ways that we
can change our own prejudices.
