NCSCOS for Grade Three: Computer/Technology Skills

Reflection:
All teachers are aware of the NCSOS and the requirements for teaching mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies.  However, we also have standard courses of study for physical education, visual arts, and technology education.  I was unaware that teachers are expected to meet technology standards in addition to the "core subjects" until very recently.  As our world is becoming increasingly technology oriented, our curriculum must adjust to fit that world.  Students should leave my classroom ready to embrace fourth grade math, as well as fourth grade technology.  To succeed in anything, our students must have basic computer and technology skills.
