OBJECTIVE: To secure employment in a K-6 school in Macon County.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Western Carolina University.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Macon County Summer Day Camp: Counselor of 5-9 year olds during the summers of  '00, '01, '02, '03.

Montreat Conference Center: Childcare assistant during the summer of '04 and 4 year old supervisor in the summer of '05.
Macon County Youth Tennis Association: Head coach of middle school students from August- November of 2005.

EDUCATION FIELD EXPERIENCE:

2002: High school internship with Shirley Park's third grade class at South Macon Elementary School.

2004: Four observation hours a week with Janice Jordan's fourth grade class at Cartoogechaye Elementary and two observation hours a week with Sue Schneider's fourth grade class at Swain County East Elementary.

2005: Block internship with Kathy Roberson's third grade class at Cullowhee Valley Elementary.  Spent one full day a week for 13 weeks and taught four lessons.

2006: Internship and student teaching with Laura Brown's third grade class at Cartoogechaye Elementary.  Two full days with ten lessons for the first semester; full time student teaching the second semester.
