This is my 'grandbaby' Jakkee. She is Lemmy & Neeci's firstborn & the very first kitten born at my cattery. She is the most loving girl ever and my pride and joy! I waited five long years for her...thus my selection of music for this page! (It's Patience by Guns & Roses-in case you didn't know!) She was born in July of 2001. She is very dear to my heart, as is her sister, Izzy, who is the other kitten born out of this litter. (Izzy now belongs to my daughter's CFA registered cattery, Kitty Got Coat. She will be breeding Izzy to her seal point male, Nash.) |

Jakkee 'before' she got her first hair cut. I just love grooming the cats. And they just hate it! They actually seem to enjoy getting their lion clips. (Well, in comparison to their baths, they do!)
Bored kitty?
Kitty who found something fun to do. --->
Yummy!!! Fish water!!! Looks like Izzy is waiting in line for her turn!
Izzy took off because she hates the camera flash!
Somebody is SPOILED. And knows she does not get in trouble for anything. That's why there is so little water left in that bowl! We have since covered the beta bowls.

And 'after', chillin' on my bed. Doesn't she look cute? You need a good pair of clippers and an extremely patient helper to accomplish this look for your Persian. Or you could just take them to the groomer!
Jakkee has passed her sweetness on to her offspring! Jakkee gave birth to her first litter October 26, 2003. Unfortunately, it was also her last. She gave birth to 2 kittens and then she just kept contracting. Her eyes had a glazed look and she would not move. We were very scared. We had to rush her to the emergency vet in the middle of the night, where she had to have emergency cesarian surgery to save her life. She had a dead kitten inside of her that had mummified, and poked through one horn of her uterus, rupturing it. She had to be spayed. I was not willing to risk losing my precious little girl again! The surgery cost $600. We would have paid whatever we had to though. The first kitten was a tiny 3.0 ounce black female. The second was a 3.2 ounce blue male who was born breach. We had to pull both of them out ourselves, as she her contractions were just not stong enough. The little girl did not make it. We tried our hardest to save her, but she was just too tiny and weak. She died when she was 2 days old. The little boy DID survive though! He was hand fed for the first few days while his mother recovered. Feedings were done every two hours. I could not sleep. I would not sleep. I just HAD to save this little guy! We supplemented his mother's feedings for the first two weeks. He sure was a little fighter. Well, of course we had to keep him. He is perfect in every way. I have never had a kitten who is this special! He is the best of 4 of our cats all rolled into 1-and then some! I will tell you more as soon as I get his pics uploaded and make him a page. His name is Buddee. ~*~ Adelia had her litter 8 days after this, on November 3, 2003. Her kittens were born even smaller. She had a female that looked EXACTLY like her and weighed 2.4 ounces. And a pointed male who weighed 2.6 ounces. Neither one of these kittens survived, even though we worked around the clock to save them.
