Alison Furlo started dancing at age four. She has studied and excelled in tap, jazz and ballet. Alison has studied dance in New York City, at the Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. There she learned new techniques for hip-hop and modern dance. Alison has participated in many dance conventions such as the American Heritage Dance Convention and Jamnation. By traveling and attending conventions, Alison has developed a well-rounded knowledge of dancing in all areas. She has studied with choreographers such as Sarah Savelli, Levi Claiborn, Brian Thomas, Pam Broyles, Joan Malone, Erin Beller and many others. Alison began assistant teaching dance at age 15, and has continued to educate students in dance for 6 years. Alison is also enrolled as a full-time student at Northwood University. In two years of study she has earned her Associate's degree in Banking and Finance along with Business Management. Alison is currenlty taking classes towards a Bachelor's Degree in both of these areas. Alison feels great satisfaction in being able to see her students advance in dancing, and plans to continue dancing and teaching throughout her life. |
