and so it was a day out to sydney olympic park, a day of being ripped off for overpriced transport, entry, food, showbags and rides.
but it was all for the birthday girl. :P

it was an early morning, bus and then meeting at the showbag hall at 9:30, but of course, not after karl decided that he had to buy his showbags first. noob. =)
first stop was the woolworths fresh food dome, where the freebies were a plenty. not really, but it sounds better like that. =)
there was the chilli (i can't be bothered to post pya's photos coz she just looks stupid. oh wait, that's just her :P)... and there was the chocolate.

after a brief contemplation on balloons (toby said that he would get us all one... then decided against that when we found out that they were 16 bux each...) and a stop for ice stuff (it was starting to get a bit hot and sunny), we stopped at the crafty place.
beck, jess, mich and i got stuck in the paper place for a while, and i satisfied-edly bought my balloon punchy thing and a stack of paper. =)

after losing people for a bit, we eventually found ourselves and trooped on down towards the dogs.
saw sparky in a magazine and the birthday girl (BG) bought herself a dog. well, a stuffed one. =) doggies were cute, as usual, and then while waiting for the stragglers, some pics.

hunger brought on a pretty early lunch, with nachos for moi.

some more walking around, went to the coca-cola zone (bought badges!), went to the world bazaar and then a bunch of us headed up to the woodchopping to watch the axethrowing. again, a bit sunny.

then, some people went for rides, i went with karl back to the fresh food dome to get milk and there was a brief interlude where everyone got a bit lost.

but we ended up meeting back at waffle world.
which was a little bit disappointing, and a little bit a rip off.

so while some ate waffles...

waffles and berries, the BG and her piece of waffle, and then they were all finished. =)

others watched on, and sat, and bummed. (and a few poser pics of course)

then we'd had enough of sitting, butts getting a bit sore. and it started to smell like horse crap, i mean pya, i mean, horse crap. =) a trip to the showbag pavillion again, but a stop at the top of the stairs dropped some people there and others continued to the showbags.
karl and i got recruited to buy the BG's pluto pup and then iii decided that it was time for $5 for "2 scoops but get 1 free" gelato. =) (forgot to take a photo! *cries*)

some more bumming at the stairs, finishing royal english toffee, pistachio and chocolate nougat, while others made use of inflatable toys.

and then it was time to go home. for most people. leaving the BG, beck, karl and i to our own devices. a short walk before the BG and beck left, leaving me and karl... =)

just bummed for a long lovely time (sorry, no shady corners ;P lol.), watched the fireworks and then bus-ed home.

a bit of an awesome day, and a bit tired coming home. but certainly, a very awesome day. =))
