Sailormoon SuperS is generally ignored by moonies who critisize it becuase of the cuteness levels of the two main characters.SuperS's strong points are usually lost in all the griping about the supposed cuteness. In Defence of SuperS delves into SuperS more deeply. Read it. I will use some of it to explain SuperS. In my veiw, The only Problem with SuperS is the Lack of The outer senshi, but that doesn't mean that SuperS is a pile of crap.

Now, SuperS begins with Chibiusa in a dream sequence. (Ignoring the prelude that is sometimes mistaken as a third S finale) She meets a beautiful winged horse who tells her to keep him a secret. During an eclipse that same day, A strange tent lands in the middle of tokyo, but usagi is the only one who can see it. (I never understood why, though) We see into the tent, where bizzare monsters talk about how nobody notcied. We meet Zirconia, and the amazon trio. (We learn about Beautiful dreams, pegasus, and we see the trio at a bar picking targets)

That evening, Usagi and ChibiUsagi watch as Unazuki is cornered and attacked by tigers eye, Strapped to a board, and a pink "dream mirror" is yanked from her chest as she screams in pain. Tigers eye sticks his head in the mirror and mentions that 'the good one' (pegasus) is not hiding there, and she must be killed.
Sailor moon and Chibi moon appear to fight him, and he calls on a monster to fight them-they don't stand a chance. Luckily, Pegasus appears and powers them up temorarily in a flash of colour, just long enough for supersailor moon to destroy the monster.(The glass effects during this are incredible) They power down after he leaves. This happens is all of their battles, a temporary power up.

For the next little while, The Trio attack muliple targets in hopes of finding pegasus--while we learn more about him in chibiusa's dreams. The new weapons are, The crystal corillion(held by chibiusa to call pegasus in battle for a powerup), the moon kaleidiscope, and a trophy-type statue for chibiusa to talk to pegasus at night.

A note about the Trio that some may not notice- Tigers eye targets young women, Hawks eye targets Classy, usually older women, and fish eye targets men. (That has no relevance to the plot, but I just wanted to include it)

In a final attempt to catch pegasus(which just happens to be Usagi), the amazon trio are attacked by a small clown, who smashes Usagi's dream mirror to peices. One by one, the amazon trio are wounded badly, until tigers eye uses a magic ball to put Usagi's mirror back together, and she and chibiusa transform to beat the clown. The trio are reborn as humans with the help of pegasus, staying in Elysion. (We hear neherina in this episode)

In the next episode, we meet the amazoness quartet-- Cere Cere, Palla Palla, Ves Ves, and Jun Jun. They are very funny and amusing villains, playing games, and basically just having fun all the time. They target children, because children have "big dreams", not affected by logic or human boundaries. The girls use pool cues to shoot a billiard ball through someone's back, and the mirror pops out on front. Somehow, they were aware that only a gold dream mirror has pegasus, so they don't have to look at the dream. If a mirror is pink or grey, they call a lemure who eats the mirror, and walk away.

We eventually learn a lot more about pegasus, a boy who fled from captivity to hide in the dream of the "pink light" that shone to him during his captivity. Using chibiusa's light, He was able to transform into pegasus and escape from Neherina's alternate dimension mirror. He and chibiusa travel to elysion and it is revealed that when the dead moon circus tent settled in Tokyo, Elysion was invaded and frozen in spider webs. The horn on pegasus' head is actually a crystal having to do with protecting dreams.

Now its' time for the season finale, and what a good one it is ^_-. Neherina suddenly decides to cover the earth in spiderwebs, blocking out the light. Mamoru Becomes ill because he is connected to earth, and everything that happens to it, happens to him. The senshi travel to the dead moon circus' tent, where the quartet has just been given a power boost by neherina. The senshi battle them for a second, zirconia then appears and shoots Zircon through Chibi Moon's Back, making her gold mirror pop out in front. Pegasus (who was standing nearby) Jumped into the mirror, and chibimoon put the mirror back inside of her. Zirconia Trapped Chibi moon in a mirror, and pulled her into Neherina's mirror. Neherina then trapped her in spiderwebs, similar to those of Heilos'.

Now, the amazoness quartet decided to switch chibi moon's body with a doll, and they capture pegasus. Ziconia Traps them all in mirrors, in their own dimesion.
Now, The Senshi go looking for Chibimoon, and end up in Zirconia's Trap, and after they have weakened her, She calls on the quartet and starts feeding on their billiard balls for more power. Sailor moon Convinces the Quartet to smash their power globes, freeing them.

Eventually, neherina takes the golden crystal from Helios, and she breaks free from her mirror.The senshi meet her in her throne room, battle her for a while, not leaving a scratch. (By the way, Chibimoon is also there, who has received neherina's curse) Helios comes in and wakes up Chibi moon. The amazoness quartet are sitting nearby and watching, they talk for a while, and Palla palla replaces the golden crystal for a small pineapple.(very cute ^^) Chibiusa uses the crystal to gather up everyone's dream power on earth, then, with sailor moon's help, weakens neherina and destoys much of the tent. (end of episode) For the next episode, Neherina grabbed chibi moon in the confusion and took her up to the top of the destroyed platform that was inside the tent. (chibimoon was unconsious) Sailor moon followed her, and, at the top, was surprised by a wrincled and old neherina in front of a broken mirror. Nehererina told sailor moon about how she was admired by her kingdom, and ate every dream mirror to preserve her beauty. Neherina then threw Chibimoon off the platform and sealed herself back into the mirror, once again beautiful. Shocked, sailor moon willingly hurled herself off the platform intending on catching her fallen daughter. While catching up with her, she tranformed herself into priness selenity, caught up, grabbed chibiusa, woke her up, and helios, also waking up, temporarily took the form of pegasus and gave the girls wings to ensure them having a soft landing, which the two princesses did.

The camera cuts to the goodbye scene, with helios standing opposite to the senshi and mamoru. (who has gotten better) We hear some goodbyes and Helios kisses chibiusa's hand and flies off back to Elysion as pegasus, saying "My maiden, I have troubled you". ^^;;
