There are many conditions that are triggered by too much tension in the body. This tension can "strangle" our sensitive system and can cause things to fail. Stimulating the "reflexes" in the feet can relax the reflected organs and parts which will, in turn, restore and correct blood circulation and nerve condition. It is really quite interesting how well -- and how immediately -- the body can heal itself when given what it needs.
But... suppose you feel kind of "bleh" and you have no idea what is causing it. Do you ever notice any aching feelings in your feet? You'd be surprised at what your feet can reveal about what's happening elsewhere in your body.

Try this:
Place the tip of your thumb in the valley near the thick pad of the palm of your opposite hand where the very base of your thumb pivots at the point closest to your wrist. Lay your other fingers across the back of the receiving hand for "leverage." Now "grind" your thumbprint into that spot in a circular motion. Try to concentrate on what you feel like in your lower abdomen, particularly around the bladder. If you are self-aware, you may realize that you feel as though you are being "massaged from the inside" at the area around your bladder. You may need to stop and start the circular motion a few times before you become aware of any sensation in your abdomen. (Some people will feel it more if they're standing, others when they're seated.) Did you feel it? This is an example of Reflexology at work.
Reflexology is not intended to diagnose or treat specific conditions. It is a method that promotes overall better health through relaxation, and restoring proper circulation and nerve condition.
(However, if you find the sore spots and work them out, you will be giving your body what it needs to heal itself in the places that need the most attention.)
