Only Time
Chapter Eight
Seto Kaiba came back rather
late; not to mention, he was in a bad mood and pretty much sulking. On one
hand, it could be rather tiring, but on the other, at least he didn’t shoot
sarcastic remarks right and left.
Mokuba was rather upset by that, but not that surprised.
Sudden calls from the company tended to cause that and so, the boy was used to Seto’s bad moods.
After a while of observing how Seto
paced around the room, she stood up and went to the youth. When she was behind
him, she placed her hands on his shoulders, making him stop abruptly.
“Sit down, Seto,” she
said calmly.
The young man turned his head to her and continued
standing in one place. He obviously didn’t know why he should do so.
For a moment they stood like that and then
Finally,
Mokuba snuck back to his room, grinning like a person who
just managed to complete a very hard task. As soon as, he locked the door
behind himself, he started phoning various people – most of the in
March the 23rd came rather soon. It was

Actually, she expected a few other things…
“You’re leaving today,” the CEO stated. The
Egyptian nodded in response.
Kaiba sat down opposite to her and started eating his
breakfast. He wasn’t in a hurry, but neither was she. They sat calmly in front
of each other, casting occasional gazes. Nothing needed to be said, so far.
“Actually, I wanted to ask you something,” he spoke
up after a while. She made an encouraging sound, so he continued: “I was
curious, if you wouldn’t want to stay a while longer.”
She gave him a thoughtful look, quietly pondering
over her answer. If she stayed, she would leave Malik
alone longer. But it wasn’t exactly as if her brother would be alone – he would
still have Rashid.
“Why do you want me to stay?” she asked.
He didn’t answer immediately – for a few minutes he
kept looking at her thoughtfully, before finally deciding to do so. However,
before saying anything he placed his hand on hers.
“Because I love you,” he said – quieter than he
usually did. She smiled in response.
“Then I will stay.”
A/N
I officially declare this story finished. Maybe
when I get some rest I’ll write a sequel, but for now I had enough of writing
serious love stories. Yes, I openly admitted, I had a hard time writing this.
Anyway, I hope you liked it, that it wasn’t OOC
that badly and that the ending doesn’t seem rushed or anything.
Oh yeah – try updating fast while leaving with an
impatient old lady…
