My Rattie Diary
Jan 30, 03
I'm a bad mommy I know, I haven't written in here since the 11th. *slaps her hands*  Well, I suppose a lot has changed.  I moved that silly cage from behind my desk  lol..and moved their couch to the other side of the living room.  Which of course they have decided to "chew" on, chew meaning absolutely destroy with all their might.  lol They can come out any time they want.  They have a routine tho...from the time we get up in the morning (7am) until about 12:30 they are awake and playing.  From 12:30 till 5:30, they don't move a muscle.  They choose a napping spot and stay there.  At about 6pm, they are begging for food.  They always have food in their cage but when we are eating, they look like poor little puppies over there on that couch.  I usually will give them a small plate depending on what we are eating.  Hopefully 3 of our sweet girls are pregnant.  Teeny, Rexie and Matty all have been...ummm..you know.  Matty would be due on Feb 6th if she is preg and Rexie Feb 7.  Teeny won't be due until Feb 11.  I will keep you up to date of course.

Today is my first entry.  I hope to keep this up quite often, if not every day.  Some days I just may not have anything to say.  As you know, Jack came home with me from Petsmart on Jan 9.  While I was in the store, he was very cuddly and outgoing and loved my ears.  As soon as we got in the car, he got so scared and it has taken him quite a while to start to relax a little.  He has started eating and drinking.  Although he doesn't seem to know how to use the bottle yet, so there is a small dish on the bottom of his cage, which he uses regularly.  He will actually come to the door now to see me when we come near his cage.  He doesn't hide anymore.  We have tried to put him with the others, but they just try and beat him up..poor little guy.
I have done some rearranging in my living room, the big cage is right behind my desk chair..and I'll be damned that they don't jump off their cage to the back of my head to get to me.  Silly ratties.  They have discovered a new favorite food...Apple Jacks, can't get enough.
