Pageant Rules and Regulations are strictly enforced to ensure a safe, fair and fun pageant.

1. Contestants must live in Pennsville Township at the time of the pageant and must have lived in the township for at least one year.

2. Contestants must be between 15 and 19 years old at the time of the pageant.

3. Contestants are not required to be students at Pennsville Memorial High School, but must live in Pennsville Township.

4. Contestants should not miss more than three practices. If a contestant misses more than three practices, a half point will be deducted from the contestant's final score for each practice unexcused missed after three.

5. Contestants must clear all competition clothing with pageant chairpersons prior to pageant night. If a contestant attempts to wear something in the pageant that has not been approved, she will not be permitted on stage.

6. Contestants will remain drug and alcohol free during their pageant experience. This includes practices, pageant night and the entire year if crowned Miss Septemberfest.  Any winner who uses drugs or alcohol will forfeit her crown.

7. No contestant is permitted to perform obscene gestures at any time during the on-stage performance portion of the pageant. If any contestant displays improper behavior on or off stage, she will be disqualified.

8. All contestants must have been born a female and be a female at the time of the pageant.

9. If for some reason Miss Septemberfest cannot fulfill the duties of her reign, the first runner up assumes the duties of Miss Septemberfest. The first runner-up will be permitted to compete for the title the following year as long as she obtains the responsibilities after the Septemberfest celebration and parade.

10. If Miss Septemberfest has criminal charges filed against her, is arrested or has a criminal complaint signed against her, she automatically forfeits her crown, title and duties.

11. Because the title is Miss Septemberfest, any contestants who are or have been married or have had children are not qualified to participate in the pageant.

12. All contestants must attend a mandatory practice prior to the pageant and must stay for the entire practice. This practice will be a run thru of the show to prepare for the actual event.

13. All contestants must follow the modeling routines taught by the choreographer. No contestants are permitted to display free-style modeling.
