After the personal interview, contestants change into their clothes for the opening number and perform a short dance number to open the on-stage portion of the pageant.
Contestants model casual wear first. Casual wear can be anything from a sundress to a business suit to something appropriate for a night out to dinner or clubbing.
Following intermission, the contestants will model formal wear which should be a prom gown.
During formal wear modeling, each contestant must answer a random, question on-stage read by one of the two MCs.
The questions will be provided to the contestants prior to the pageant, however contestants are encouraged to NOT memorize an answer. Memorizing only results in a scripted response, and sometimes causes a contestant to blank out like forgettin a line.
The competition portion ends after formal wear.
Next, the contestants are re-introduced for one final look before the awards are announced.
The out-going Miss Septemberfest takes her final walk, and then the award announcements begin.
Miss Congeniality is announced first, followed by third, second and first runners up.
Miss Septemberfest is crowned at the conclusion of the evening.
