Why was this web page created?
Well, i was becoming very bored with my life and was thinking all those horrible questions that we all do at some point like;  What am I going to do for the rest of my life?
Blah Blah Blah

Anyhow, i decided to take some intiative an enrol at university for a 6 year part time course in Humanities. My wonderful mum then offered to buy me a computer for my studies as I was obviously going to need it.

So we got the computer and had it all set up. The week i was to start my classes the university tells me that i have to take the classes during the day, which I cant do as i work full time. To make a long story short, i had to withdraw from my course, and i cant apply for anything else until October for March 2000 start.

Therefore instead of wasting my mothers money on this great computer or my time by just sitting in games rooms all day, I decided to keep myself busy with this web page. It is alot of fun, although a real pain in the arse most of the time. Anyhow, I have now changed my mind (hey...its my perogative) and am now going overseas for an extended period of time  :-)

"But what do you have on it"  The net unaware always ask this. I can't answer that. This web page is "huge" I am constantly being told, but to describe what it actually is, well that's not easy.
I like the idea of having my own little part of the net-universe, it's a great way to release emotions aswell because I always write. It's just that before, no one saw what I wrote...

I've learnt so much from doing this, and I love to learn. I don't want to let my brain turn to mush. And now I even have my mum doing a web page  lol!
The other thing is "how" I have made this. Well, I taught myself html by using sites on the web that offer tutorials and buying one of those "html for dummies" books. Html drives me nuts, but alas, it is essential to know atleast the basics. I hate frames. Nothing worse than going to a page and being stuck in a frame. Hence I will never use them. Forms can be nifty though, that's how I made my survey but if you want to start a basic homepage, Geocities has page builders where you basically cut and paste and drag stuff around. The easiest way. I 'cheat' and use that on most of these pages to save time and my sanity.....
Heaps of sites offer graphics and backgrounds you can use for free too. Most of my buttons and titles I make myself using Corel Draw 7 and Printmaster and a few other little graphics programs. I dabbled with making animated gifs, but it takes too much time  :-)
