| Have you been training lately? I've been boxing, man. I really love boxing! I do it as often as possible. Do you think it's true that you get in more trouble than other people? I don't! The Press just doesn't seem to get interested in other people. The rest of the lads do the same kind of stuff as I do - they go out and get drunk. They just want to pry about me for some reason. Do you ever feel like you always get picked on by the media? [Shrugs] I just try to forget about it, really. You can't let it get to you, otherwise you'd just quit. I can't get too vexed about it. I'm not going to change, and I'm not going to start hiding away, turning into a little flippin' hermit, y'know! We've heard you've been doing a lot of stuff with Phixx recently... Yeah, I've got my own company which I set up 18 months ago. It's nice to write for someone other than Blue every now and then! But I write the songs for myself and I can hit quite high notes, so sometimes another singer can't reach them! You don't just give bands Blue's reject songs, do you? Nah, it's a company, innit? I don't give rubbish songs out, ever! Kym Marsh said she wanted to work with you too. Would you do a duet with her? Yeah, man. She's a lovely girl. You're quite outspoken about your work. Do you think it's important for celebs to speak their minds? Totally. Music's changed. It's not really about music these days. I don't think you can really call it a 'music' industry. It's more like a fashion industry. Does it bother you that 'serious' music mags don't respect you? They hate us! Blue doesn't appeal to their readers. They don't perceive us as being cool. But, y'know, we've sold over a million albums. We get respect from people in the r'n'b world. We're not just a boyband. OK, enough serious stuff. What about the rumour that you shave your hair....and, er, we're not on about the hair on your head? That came from some stupid girl I slept with. She made it up 'cos she's an idiot. Of course it's not true! Do you believe everything you read? And even if I did shave my pubes, so what? Why should it be reported in the Press? But with any rumour like that, do you worry about your mum finding out what you get up to? No. She doesn't care. I get the hump, though, as most of the time it's all rubbish. |
