VISIT MY E-PORTFOLIO

We will be studying economics during November, and this is where you will be able to find information and links, as well as a brief overview of what we will be doing in class.

This unit was designed for MITTEN, so my homeroom will be using technology to help guide their learning. We will be making a KWL using Inspiration, creating a PowerPoint presentation, reading a comic book online and answering questions online, playing two games, use KidSpiration to make a choice, and review for the test by playing economics Jeopardy online. Through out this unit I will be taking pictures as we are working (hence why I sent permission slips home at the beginning of the school year), as well collecting student samples of work. All of this will be put together in an electronic portfolio, which will be posted on the MITTEN website when it's finished in December.

So, what is economics? Well, according to Merriam-Webster Online, economics is "a social science concerned with description and analysis of the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services."
