It's true. Your best friends are the people you can talk to and never get bored with. The ones you can tease, and they tease you back about some incident in the 8th grade. Now, I'll be the first to admit that my choices (no matter how well thought out) haven't always been the best ones, but when it comes to friendship, I don't regret anything. And amazingly, at the virtual closure of my high school years, I still have the golden few remaining; and a few golden ones added. I have become acquainted with many souls along the way, and fell in love with some as well.

I honestly try to be the best person that I can be. I don't like to hurt feelings or break hearts. And for some reason, in the past few months that seems to have been my specialty. Oh, well. Do I get extra points for effort?

Some people stick around because they're confused. Some do because they like to aide in hardships. And sometimes, you have the people that stick around because they like to be with you and are willing to put up with you no matter how much of an asshole you're being. And of course, they're there to throw in the occasional punch - or punchline.

Nothing intrigues me more than a true friendship, and I am so thankful that I have that kind of friendship to be intrigued by.
