The coronation party took place around the pool of Conrad Hotel on Monday - July 15, 2002. The event started at 9:30PM with press and interviews with the new Miss Egypt Universe, Horreya Farghally. First, Youssef gave a speech and he thanks all the sponsors of the event and he gave a special thanks to Conrad Hotel for welcoming the guests of honor. He also thanked Mahmoud Haridy, the crown designer. Then, Andre Abou-Charaa gave his speech by thanking Karim EL-Tonasy for the opening dance and he wished the best of luck to all the girls in their future. Then, Andre asked the audience to welcome the new Miss Egypt Universe, Horreya Farghally. Horreya stood and she said:
"Thank You, I'm so glad for all of your support that I got from all of you. I'm really proud to be Miss Egypt Universe 2002/2003 as much as I'm proud that I'll work in many charity fields starting with Abou El-Rish Hostpital and I would like to invite all of you to participate in this great mission and all our efforts will help us to have healthy generations"
After Horreya finished her words, the first runner-up, Nour El-Samry stood up and she gave her speech to the audience and she said:
"I would like to thank all of you and I want you to know that I was shocked and I really cried when I heard my name among the the TOP 10. I also want to thank Youssef Spahi because he helped me to lose weight and I really want to thank all the members of Face2Face and I hope to represent Egypt as best as I can"
After Nour El-Samry finished the 2nd Runner-up, Sarah Nashaat from Alexanderia said few words:
"I really don't know what to add after Horreya and Nour, but I want to express my feeling toward the girls that I met during the competition and I hope that all of us be friends forever. I also invite all of you to share the work with me, Nour, and Horreya"
After Sarah finished, all the girls danced and they had a lot of fun in the rest of the night. Among the guests, there were Cherif Moheb and Mena "Miss Alexanderia 2002 Contestant" and she is a member of the Egyptian Wall of Beauty. All the contestants of Miss Egypt Universe 2002/2003 were there except Essra Zaytoun. 1 Day later, Ines Gohar went back to Paris, France to continue her studies after she failed to represent Egypt. Ines was Horreya's roommate and she was so happy that her friend, Horreya won the title! Good Luck to all the girls |
