| Midnight Last night at midnight, I was dreaming, dreaming of cool flesh, and sheets the color of fresh blood, the phone shattered the dream, leaving me with only fragments, glittering in the darkness like broken glass in the moonlight, a glimpse of deep brown eyes, fading to that captivating sky blue, hands gliding down my body, hair flung across my face in a sweet scented cloud, and I woke, in my own bed.. in my own house, miles away from you, with the feel of your body clinging to me, a faint vanilla scent hanging in the air, mixing with the smells of warm fur, forests and deep caves, wide rivers and startled deer, I took a shaky breath and lay back down, hugging my pillow tight, and wished it were you instead. |
