Till is my male western hognose snake. He may be tiny but hes actually going on 3 years old. I got him in October 2002. He was very tiny when i purchased him for $40. The day i got him was quite interesting. He played dead right in my hand (one of the many hognose defence systems) He has done all the other defences, hissing loudly, flatening his neck to look like a cobra and striking with his mouth closed. He doesn't do these often, extremly rarely, usually when i spook him by accident. He is actually very calm and sweet. Again, hes not a very big guy and really won't get much bigger at all. Female hogs will get quite a bit bigger than males. He is definetly a fun snake though, its like a game when i need to get him out of the cage, i have to sift threw his sand and dig around and pull him out. |
