LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO X-VIRUS... the band, the sound, the feeling, the psyche -
The exciting project has taken off March 2001. We are doing it ourselves, using VST - virtual studio technology
We get our inspiration from falling rain, people-at-the-bus-stop, ice-cubes, umbrellas, mountains and anything else Providence paints upon the earth! So:
X-VIRUS is two guys:
Misheck M'hango; lead guitar, flute, vocals, song-writer/composer. Loves the guitar like roast sweet-potato. First laid fingers on a home-made four string guitar in 1976, self-learnt how to play and picked up the flute in the same year, launching into the folk circuit almost immediately. Got into electric music in 1990, jammimg up with the legendary He-She Mambo in Mixed Cut Band early 90s. "Come along, we'll take you on a trip with us. Anywhere you want to go - into your past, into your future - hold on, we'll fly high!"
Wisdom Chomba; drums - entirely developed in X-Virus. Has had some dabblings in the music scene since 1989, but got thrown deep and hard into the hot X-Virus routine almost out of nowhere. Had to take a shirt off and pound the skins. "What do you want to hear from me - the gentle whisper of your love or the smash of two trains? I'll give it to you, anytime anytime.".
Our aim is to share the gift of music - to enjoy the celebration of life it is, paint pictures with sound, have fun, talk to the stars, find peace of mind - tune in with the planets as they make the Harmony of the Universe spinning around the sun!
