Title: Enter Elena Author: Puck Email: Mish_S_Mail@yahoo.com Ratings: 15 Spoilers: VD computer game although, Dialog has been changed to protect the innocent... Disclaimers: VD belongs to LJS, the game to Her Interactive. Summary: Options were so limited in the computer game and everything so cliche and predictable, I decided to take creative license with some kick a$$ fan fiction. For those of you who haven't played the game, you won't get why I hate this particular scene so much... Meet the Teacher I needed the damn key! If I didn't get the cap to give to the ghost, I wouldn't get the old gold and be able to buy the rune for Bonnie. And I needed the key to get the cap in the "Spirit of Fell's Chruch" display case... So here I am, up at good old Robert E. Lee around midnight and scared out of my mind. The key should be in Damon's room. You know, ever since I first met him at the gallery opening he never seemed quite right and especially after I talked to Carloline and she said that he was practically hitting on her. Then again, he was practically hitting on me, but I'm used to it... -OH footsteps... darting behind a dispplay case, I didn't breathe or even peer out to see who was coming. Probably the nasty security gaurd who caught me last time and kicked me out of my own freakin' school. I should just break the damn case open and steal the hat... The footsteps receeded and I poked my head out. Good, the coast was clear. Uncrouching, I stretched out my muscles a bit and headed for the science wing. Hair prickled on end all down my neck. Something about this school at night was really creepy. Like all those Freddy and Jason movies... didn't they end up meeting each other, I wonder who would win? Room 113, Mr. Damon Smith's room. Pushing carefully on the door, I found the lights on but nobody home. Goody. Now, where would he hide that key. Obviously I started off with his desk, top drawer full of pens and passes and admits...might want to take a few of those to use later... all the other drawers full of freshly copied papers, tests and lesson plans. One or all of those wouldn't hurt either... But no key. Damn. Wait a minute, all the other stuff I've needed has been in some weird place.... Crossing the room to the skeleton, I inspected it thoughrouly. Hey now, don't laught, haven't you people ever heard of a skeleton key? Nothing there. Next came the jars with preserved little animals in them. Nothing. Why would anyone want to spend an entire school year in a room like this for the rest of their lives? This is probably what English teacher hell looks like...you know because they like books and all...oh forget it. Damn, where was that key! AHA! Drawers stacked up five high at the end of the preserved display. First drawer- no luck. Pulling the second open, I heard a familliar soud- footsteps. Oh God- they won't believe me if they catch me! They won't think I'm stealing a key and a hat! They'll think I'm trying to cheat! I'll never get Homecoming Queen and either Caroline or a cheerleader willl! THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING!! Scrambling faster I yanked the second drawer open, no luck. Third drawer, something jingled and I saw the key go under a stack of papers, brushing them aside hurridly, I almost had my hand on the key when the door opened and someone said- "Elena, what are you doing here so late?" Damon's voice. Ohmygodmylifeisflashingbeforemyeyes.... Composing my face, I stood gracefully, hoping my cheeks had cooled since my ferver at searching for the damn key. "Mr. Smith," I began slowly, crisply. "I need your help with something, that is why I'm here so late." A slow smile played across his full lips, as he tried to keep the gaming light from showing in his eyes. "My help?" Oh God, if he plays coy I'm going to barf on his shoes, I thought. "What would bring you here so late at night for my help... What is so important that you would risk your life by coming here?" "How am I risking my life by coming here?" Raising my eyebrows I felt myself going pale. I should have gone and spoken to Stefan before coming. Damon's eyes sparkled for a moment. "Really Elena, all of these attacks... you being out so late, you're putting yourself in harm's way, almost like you mean to be next." "Mr. Smith, I'm trying to help stop these attacks. Besides, they're only being made on children and I, am hardly a child." I countered. Something was going on, he was being too sly, like the cat who caught the canary. "Besides, what are you doing out so late at night yourself, I mean, they might start to suspect you for the attacker. After all, how much do they really know about you..." He looked flustered, but only for a second, in a blink he was his normal smooth stalker self again. "Do you think I'm the attacker Elena?" Damon asked, seriously. "And do you think yourself invulnerable from the attack? What magic have you got to fend this obviously supernatural attacker off...?" "No, Mr. Smith, I don't think you're the attacker," I stated. "And I know I am not invulnerable, and I don't have any magic. But I do know how to end this, and that is why I need your help. I need to borrow the civil war cap from your Spirit of Fell's Church display." "The cap?" Damon asked, credulously. "What do you need the cap for?" Taking a deep breath, I began, "I need the cap to give to the ghost for the old gold so I can buy and antique rune from the art gallery where my ex-friend Caroline whom you drove home works so Bonnie can give me a reading and I can vanquish the attacker," I let out in one continuous sentance. Damon simply looked amused. "Ghosts? Old gold? Runes? Do you honestly think you can stop something so powerful with such nonesense?" "Yes," I said simply. "I do." Damon sighed, uncrossing his arms. His endless black eyes turned to me, very serious again. "You do realize that cap was bought with blood, so now it has a blood debt, don't you?" Damon started. Oh my God. "Uhm, what does that mean?" I asked, feeling stupid. Damon didn't do anything except answer, but with such a scorching intensity in his eyes I thought I might go up in flames. "It means that if I let you borrow that cap, you'll have to do something for me.." "You pervert!" I screamed and his eyes widened. What a jerk, no wonder he was drooling all over Caroline in her easy access dress, honestly, public schools have gone to- "Nothing like that-" Damon began. "I meant-" he paused, showing me his elongated fangs. "Something like this. I'm surprised you made it this far, sweet, Elena..." "One too many vampires in my life," I muttered. "Okay, so I give you a pint and I get the hat?" Damon looked absolutely stunned, "Well, I- of course, but-" "Great, look, you get you're blood when I bring it back." I paused. "Then again, I could die before I actually brought it back, so wouldn't it be much easier for you if you just helped me to kill the other evil vampire, and that way, you're 0+ would be ensured?" Damon looked puzzled. "You mean you're not going to scream or run or swoon into my arms?" I cocked an eyebrow at him, "No... what's a swoon? Besides, this guy that I'm trying to stop, is so much badder than you. I've got he Brazov dagger and all the ingredients, all I need is the damn rune and then I can stop him. I'd really really apreciate your help, after all, Stefan maybe a sweetie, but he's not that strong, so I need all the help I can get..." "Stefan?" Damon gulped. "Yeah.. that's what I said..." I said. "That's my little brother, we killed each other five hundred years ago..." Damon said, looking away as his eyes went distant. "He didn't tell me he had a brother," I steamed, absolutely mad that the man I was destined for ever since I met him yesterday night didn't tell me every detail of his un-life. "He didn't tell me he had a brother who was a vampire whom he killed either.." "He always was jealous of me..." Damon moaned. "Aww... well, why don't you help me and then we can maybe work out a deal, I'll ditch the dodo and we can run off to Italy and I'll spend you're money?" I smiled cheerily. "Sure..." Damon said slowly. "Hey, Elena, if you have the Brasov dagger, why don't you give it to me, I can get Ultimate Power and then we can rule the world together...?" "Because Damon, nobody should have ultimate power, just be lucky you have me..." I scoffed. Then turned and walked toward the door... "Coming babe?" Damon rolled his eyes and followed, "I suppose I'm simply a sucker for a dominate female..." And laughing at his own joke, followed his blonde mistress out to the display case.... ~The End~ P.S. It's an awesome game, and I've been in the process of trying to locate more games to put up for sale on my website. If you're interested in getting the game now, I suggest ebay as the company doesn't make them anymore. But they make nancy drew, I mean, god forbid they advertise the vampire diaries game so people actually knew about it and bought it, then maybe they wouldn't have sold us out for some chick who... aww never mind (end rant)
