Slam poetry is spoken poetry, dramatic poetry, performance poetry. The pieces are judged by people chosen from the audience at random. Audience participation is key to a successful slam. The more energy, the better!
Poets need not be from NHHS, but should be students. Each poet will need at least three poems to compete, as there are three rounds. Copies of the poems are not needed, but the poems do need to be approved in advance by either Mr. Wilson or Stephanie Dallas (and preferably both).
Restrictions include props, costumes, and musical instruments.
