Cari was born October 20, 1974 to Michael and Jeanne (Endicott) Elswick in Winfield. She attended Arkansas City High School where she graduated in 1993 and continued her education at Cowley College, graduating in 1995. On October 25, 1993 she married Patrick Daniel Griggs in Miami, OK and the couple made their home in Sedan, KS. Cari was a secretary for the Chautauqua County Attorney�s Office. She attended the Chautauqua Baptist Church and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Professional Business Women of Sedan.
Cari is survived by her husband, Patrick Daniel Griggs; daughter, Amber Reann Griggs; son, Brandon Michael Griggs all of the home; mother, Jeanne Waldorf of Arkansas City; father, Michael Elswick of Collinsville, OK; brother, Cory Elswick of Wichita and fraternal grandparents, Max and Sue Elswick of Arkansas City. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents and a stepfather.
A memorial has been established for the Griggs Children Educational Fund.
