Writing Practice Exercise #1:

General Instructions: Please read the instructions for each part of the exercise. 

 

(a)      Write one topic sentence for each of the following topics: 

·              Your hometown: We love to live in the Monagas State full of de beautiful places, many natural resources and affable people

·              A place you would like to travel to. We would like to travel to around Venezuela, especially to know every historical places. 

·              (Another topic of your own choosing). We are exiting because we will get our degree between March and July 2008 (God willing)

(b)     Choose one of the above topics and write ONE complete paragraph about it. You should use a good topic sentence and adequately detailed supporting sentences. You do not have to include a concluding sentence if you do not wish to do so.

We are enjoyed because we will get our degree between March and July 2008 (God willing). We have worked very, very hard for to achieve it. Always, we have many difficult but we think (and every day to tall it) that we can. Now, we are doing everything possible for improve our knowledge and can apply in our job! After, we will say it: it was hard but we did it, and our courage to be worthwhile!

 

Writing Practice Exercise #2

Write paragraphs: 

(a) One Definition paragraph of at least seven sentences. 

        I love the pets, it is the animal that you have in home. The people say that they to attract good look. For me, they are beautiful, as my family, my best friends.  Other thing very important is the carefully. If you have one, you must maintenance it as your child. It can feel everything around its. Inclusive, it can get sick due to maltreat.

 

(b) One Classification paragraph with seven or more sentences.

        I have five dogs, one is a mastiff dog. These dogs can be English, Spanish or Neapolitan:

- The English mastiff descends of the old Assyrian. The man's assistant, extremely attached to their owner, it is distrusts with the strangers and, if it is attacked, it is terrible. 

- The Spanish Mastiff was very appreciated as guardian dog, its meek character and noble, even in moments of graveness, they are characterized by the balance and itself control.

- The Neapolitan mastiff is a Very friendly, very guardian race and partner an excellent dog tames.  If it cohabits in family, it can have good relationship with all the members, while the one has a space outdoors. It is not the best dog for boy, but it is completely adaptive with a good education.  

 

(c) One Description paragraph with seven or more sentences.

        The Neapolitan mastiff aspect is of a great size, so much that its size reaches the 70 cm. approximately; they prefer to live in a place where a big space exists outdoors. Their chest is wide and its muscles are very strong. Their coat is short and fine and the colours can vary among black, Gray ash and striped. Daily these dogs need to ingest around 2700 calories. The more care is to keep in mind apart from its feeding is that of its coat, it is good that the dog receives a daily brushing.

 

(d) One Comparison paragraph with seven or more sentences.

        The Spanish mastiff has a long hair, while the Neapolitan and English have their hair shorter. The Spanish mastiff snout is pretty longer comparing with the Neapolitan and English. The Spanish mastiff eyes are smaller then the other, additionally, it is cleverest and the friendliest.

(e) One Contrast paragraph with seven or more sentences.

        The English, Spanish and Neapolitan mastiff have similar characteristics between them. They belong to the big race (in size), including the bite. They are protectors and very kind with children. All this dogs are very strong, however they are wonderful pets. They give security at home. Besides they eat a lot and they must be fed and spoiled very well. They also are quiet and friendly.
