Hey everybody. You may be wondering, 'Why the heck is there a site about bad dates? Isn't Lemon Ice supposed to be good things?' If this is what you were thinking, well, you're half right, and half wrong. Lemon Ice is to make you less socially challenged. By reading about other people's mistakes, you will learn to be even better. We asked those few people who weren't successful after reading Lemon Ice to tell us a bit about what they thought they did wrong anonymously. Not only will you learn, but you'll laugh too. You can even write one yourself through the guestbook!

          Reality check
My boyfriend, *Curt, had come from a very poor family. Eventually, he inherited a lot of money and their family settled into a mansion.
He always felt very bad for the needy. He would donate a bunch of money to all these foundations.
Over time, though, his head swelled up, and he acted like a rich bafoon. It was quite annoying.
One day, he took me to a restaurant, very crowded and noisy. Since I was low on cash, he was paying for some of it.
It was pretty expensive, and I felt pretty bad, so on our next date, I offered to pay with my allowence.
We arrived at "Chez Pria" and I asked him if we could try not to order the most expensive thing on the menu. He understood and agreed. When his meal came, he shouted, "I can't believe you eat this slimy slop everyday! Can't you afford anything better?" I dumped him right there, and walked out.
             Casual dress
My brother thought I was never getting any dates, and he hooked me up with this dating service. I stayed on it for a while, but never found anyone quite right. One day, I met this girl, *Kerri  and she was perfect.
I invited her out for lunch.
We ended up having a great time, and I told her I would call her again.
I had no idea where to take her. She was pretty glamorous and I wanted to have a great date with her. I got us 2 tickets to an fancy play, hoping not to look geeky. She loved the idea, and told me she'd be there next week.
I made sure we had good seats, it was the right night and I had enough money.
Sure enough it was all ok. I had dressed in a tux, and noticed the rest of the crowd was fancy too. To my horror, in walked Kerri, wearing jeans and a top that said: Skanky! I never called her again.
        Bad habits
My girlfriend, *Alison and I had been going out for about a year when wham! it was our anniversary. I had no idea where to take her. I knew she was well behaved, so I asked my older brother about some good placed to take a girl.
He suggested several places. I went to each one, and they were all really expensive. Finally, I decided I couldn't afford a fancy restaurant. I was stumped for ideas when suddenly, I got this great idea, out of nowhere. I would cook dinner and she would eat with me and my family. (I begged them to leave, and they refused. I spent all week looking up recepies and cooking. Finally, it was our big night.
I carefully made sure every dish was proper. When my girlfriend rang the doorbell, she looked totally nervous. She kept fidgiting and she finally knocked over a bunch of things, and pulled the table cloth, knocking all my hard work to the floor! I was very upset.
                     Manners are everything
I'd had a crush on *Josh forever. I never got enough courage to talk to him, knowing I would regret it. My friends knew how much I liked hjm, and offered to help. I said yes, not knowing what to do.
Sure enough, they talked to him and he said I wasn't bad at all.
Great!
We started going out and I loved it so much. I was thankful to my friends. My parents heard about it and were very happy for me. We had only gone out on a couple of dates when he asked about my parents. I told him that he should come meet them some day. He agreed.
The next week, I met his parents. I was sure to be polite and nice.
He wanted to meet my parents, so I set a date for a supper.
He came over, looking awesome, and we started chatting. The problem was, he didn't talk.
I urged him to, because it was very important to my parents. He was very impolite, and rolled his eyes at my father. Needless to say, he wasn't welcomed back into my house again, or my life!
