| MIRI BANANA FARM | ||||||
| Initially this farm was started as an ideal to test-plant palm oil trees. However, another ideal of divercified was thought of, hence, further interests were draw to create more innovative ideal to fully utilies the farm. With the benefit of good local market demand,banana was selected to be one of the ideal fruits trees to be planted about the open space amoung the palm oil trees. There were also various kinds of fruit trees such as local green oranges, coconut trees, guava, papaya, pineapples and many more. At one point, to make use of the uneven terrain, deep swampy area were dug and fenced to form pond to keep ducks and geese. Chicken barns were also built to rare local chicken, some were free ranch. |

| Now the farm has expanded into a stretch of land covering over 18 acres of area nearby with more fruits trees to be planted and harvest at the same time. It is our dream one day that this farm will be able to provide many facility such as a comfortable hostel, jungle track, activities for all ages to enjoy while visiting Batu Niah Town and the Batu Niah Cave, National Park. |
