Welcome to the animal kingdom. There are so many different animals, I can't show them all here. Animals need different circumstances to live in. Some live in the forest, others in the sea, the desert or the air.
Most of the animals I am going to show you are endangered species. There are not much of them left to look at. Remember them well, and do what you can so that they don't all dissappear one day.
I'll start by introducing you to my favorite cat.
Meet the Cheetah, one of the fastest animals on Earth. This animal is a smart and fast hunter.
Sadly, there are not much Cheetah's left on Earth.
Another smart and fast hunter is the fox, although this one looks sleepy.
A running fox is really a magnificent sight.

But people are hunting the foxes, and more of the animals on this page, for their fur. That way there are less and less foxes left on the planet...
Of course I couldn't leave this animal out. They are one of the most beautiful creatures I have ever seen...and one of the smartest, too.

There is no need to say it, because everybody knows, wolves are endangered species also.
But let's not forget our animal friends in and around the water.
The sea otter has lived near our seas for a long time, living off fish and shelled creatures of the sea. He has become very handy in catching them.

Sadly there are not many of these creatures left. It seems like the people of Earth have selected them to die out next.
The whale is the largest animal known by men. It is a magnificent animal, once you have seen it, you will never forget it.
There are more creatures in the sea than just fish. There are also the really small creatures.
Sure you knew that sea slugs lived in the sea (duh), but did you know they looked as cute as this?
And there are birds. This one looked very special to me because of it's huge tail.

This bird is called a whydah or widow bird.
I had never seen one of these before...
We must not forget the little creatures on the planet. There are some very special insects too.

Have you ever walked in a forest and seen those pretty flying lights?
A bunch of tiny bugs causes that.
Right, fireflies.
