Grading Policy for World History and Geography (Grade 9):
20% of the students' grade will be based on Homework. I believe that homework is practice and that all students should take adavantage of it. All assignments will be looked at, and graded unless otherwise stated previously in class. I encourage students if they have any questions about an assignment to seek me after school for extra help.
30% of the grade will be based on tests. There will be a test after every unit completed. As well as the occasional chapter test. Students will know about these ahead of time, and be given a review sheet to study from. It will include the material that will most likely be on the test.
15% of the grade will be based on quizzes. There will be a bi-weekly quiz to review the material that is being covered in class.
30% will be based on class projects. I am hoping that we will be able to complete 3 of these this year which makes each project worth 10% of the students' grade.
5% will be what I consider to be "bonus points". Extra credit assignments will be offered throughout the year. I will also include class/group participation in with these "bonus points".
