| The Ballad Of The Beauty And The Beast (Ottershagen) |
| The beauty met the beast three days before she turned twenty-five He appeared out of nowhere and set fire to her eyes He was a lone ranger who spoke loud and clear words of action words of wisdom so sweet to her ears To him she looked like a doll one to be handled with care but when he saw through her grace her recognized her fear And her words were sweet too and they pleased his lonely mind so he came to believe they were two of a kind For some time they just fooled around playing silly games but when they went home at night their faces remained burnt into their minds to never be removed and their hearts cried through the night for their love to be proved At christmas their wishes came through and the two became one united in stolen moments and divided by the sun And the beast broke all the rules to protect the beauties name And the beauty was torn to pieces when she realized her shame One day he could wait no longer he was forced to make a move he had to lay his cards on the table before his career was doomed So he said to the beauty "We could make this a start" She agreed and kissed him gently and then she broke his heart So the beast had hell to pay but he wasn't really scared he'd been in hell before and knew he had nothing to fear And the beauty cared for her lover her savior and her friend she showed him heaven and asked for his help and then she broke his heart again The beauty was a princess and acted like one too but when she faces problems she was not sure what to do She was not really used to be the one that had to pay Maybe she was a doll after all or was forced to act that way |
The beast he didn't care for much not for money , not for fame thou he hoped his actions would make people respect his name And he said to the beauty "I could sacrifice it all for you" She said " I could never do that that's what differs me from you" The beauty had listened too long to what other people said and their words had taken control and her heart were lain to rest Now and then she was reminded of the beauty of the beast but now his words sounded like the words of a priest And the beast he concluded "Thou I know I have her love I could never force her to join me down the roads I have to walk thou I hate to walk alone I could never force her to break up her home" So the beauty remains the beauty that all feel sorry for and the beast remains the beast heading for another war The beauty wonders still what it takes to be alive how to get all she wants and not have to pay the price And the beast tries to accept that the beauty does not love him at least not enough for her to change anything And he tries to figure out how he could be so wrong and he spends his night writing her songs and during one of his melancholia fiests he came to write the ballad of the beauty and the beast and he knows she will read it to see how it ends then she'll show him how much she loves him and then she'll break his heart again |
