RESEARCH INTERESTS

1970-1976: Fundamental and industrial research in the fields of drug syntheses, carbocations and their further transformations.

1977-1980: Industrial research concerning the synthesis of E and A vitamins.

1980-1985: Film processing management and research.

1985-1989: Industrial research concerning the synthesis of E and A vitamins as well as glycerol syntheses starting from propene via epoxydation. Each industrial research was concluded with reports for companies. Research results for vitamins and glycerol synthesis led to know-how and design of an industrial plant.

1989-2002: Fundamental research on the chemistry of epoxydes and heterocycles containing nitrogen.

In the last five years I developed new methods and techniques for ultrasonically assisted extraction of bioactive components as well as fragrances from aromatic and medicinal herbs. The research work was concluded with a patent on a new ultrasonic reactor able to extract ultrasonically at industrial level (the reactor volume is 1000 l, working volume around 800 l)
Theoretical aspects of ultrasound interaction with reagents, new theoretical approach of ultrasonic activation of chemical reactions.
