| The waves flow in and out along the shore I sit and watch them go and come again, The sky lightens towards the gentle morn As my broken heart weeps and cries in pain. As the sun, in its glory, rises high I stay by the sea and ponder all day My love rejected, not a bat of eye, She's left me and has gone off on her way. The sun toward the horizon descends Her face in the sunset floats before me Yet my heart no longer within me rends, My sorrow has washed out into the sea. My heart, in his solitude, has found peace And in his pain has found his way to sweet release. |
