THE SCHOOL/HISTORY ASSIGNMENT/DRIVING TEST FROM MIRAI HELL
CHAPTER 3

Annie combed out her light hair and flipped a page in the old book in front of her. I wish this made more sense! She said out loud. Or at least give me a name or two or- She stopped when something caught her eye. .runks. strong like his fa.Trunks may be
TRUNKS! There was only one guy she knew named Trunks. She flipped back to the beginning of the book where she had read the first passage in the library. The ks must have been the end of Trunks. But then what was he the last of? And what was a Yan? Or was it just a part of a word. She flipped quickly through the pages and stopped at a sketch.
It was a creature of some sort. Bald and with two antennae and fangs. Annie shivered. Piccolo was printed underneath.
She flipped ahead quicker and stopped at another picture. Just some guy with big black hair and a goofy smile. She made out the letters -ad beneath this one. She only turned one page when she saw the same man, now serious and with his hair blonde and straight up. She didnt know exactly how she knew that it was the same man but she had a feeling. Su. Saiyan was written by this. She read the page next to it gathering that a Super Saiyan was a powerful being from a whole other planet. The man who wrote this that man's father was one of these Super Saiyans. There was also another ... Vege- something... who had a son named Trunks
Annies eyes lit up Trunks was half alien and the man who wrote this book was too! And the man who wrote this book wanted to teach Trunks to she flipped back to the beginning passage become a powerful fighter and maybe even one of these Super Saiyans, too.   Annie collapsed onto the floor. Was Trunks an alien? And if he was: She had the right to know! He should have said something like, for example:
Hi, Im Trunks Brief and Im a new student here. Hey! Im also a FRIGGIN ALIEN!
Annie grabbed a jacket and got in her car and drove towards Capsule Corp.

She arrived twenty minutes later (in pajama pants, a tank top and a jacket nonetheless!) and rang the doorbell. A woman she recognized as Bulma answered and Annie rudely stepped into the house. Where is Trunks!?
Bulma, taken aback, answered. He lives in an apartment to the west the ones that-
THANK YOU! The girl left and hopped in the car before Bulma could say another word. She sighed.
Why do these things always happen to my son? She asked herself out loud.

TRUNKS! Annie pounded on h is door. DAMMIT! OPEN THIS DOOR! A light turned on inside the apartment and Trunks answered a few seconds later. He had obviously been asleep because his hair was mussed and he wore only boxers and a grey T-shirt. Before he had time to fully wake up he felt a fist collide with his cheek.
Explain!
Trunks brought his hand up to his face. Explain what?
THIS! Annie threw the journal down on the table.
Trunks picked it up and flipped through the first few pages. I dont know what this is, He stated innocently.
He turned it over when his hands brushed up against the indentation of the Son Family symbol. Oh my -
What?
Trunks held the book like it was sacred. Where did you find this?
Annie, surprised at his tone of voice, answered, The library.
Son Gohan, Trunks whispered, running his fingers over the symbol again. Sensei.
Thats great, Annie said, letting her hands fall to her sides. So I was right. Lemme get this straight: This guys your teacher and you and him are both half alien because your dads arent from this planet but another one which destroyed other planets and something in there about a heart virus and some Gero and squeeze some weird other alien with antennae and fangs and- Annie began to head for the door, in a word, scared.
Wait! I can explain! Trunks moved in her way and blocked her exit.

Twelve midnight. It was twelve midnight and Annie had learned all there was to know about the Saiyans and the prince that sat in front of her. Well, he wasnt a prince on earth but if the planet Vegeta still existed then he would be the next in line for the throne that would entitle him to thousands of planets and systems. Damn.
I guess I kinda overreacted, huh? Annie asked.
Just a little, Trunks replied. He still held the book in his hands and now placed it lovingly on the table.
Annie yawned and shut her eyes. Trunks got up, went into the kitchen, drank a glass of water, and came back. Annie? I don't mean to keep it a secret, but think about what would happen if everyone knew that I was an alien. There would be mass hysteria for one. I mean, Saiyans are powerful enough to destory worlds like I told you before... I just don't think that it would be wise to tell every... he stopped.
Annie didnt respond. Trunks went over to her. Annie? he whispered, and discovered that she was sleeping. Trunks smirked. Imagine that! In less than three days he had started a new school, hung out at the libaray with some girl he hardly knew, as well as told some girl he hardly knew all about his Saiyan heritage, and, looking at her now he knew why he hadhe liked her. But not like he liked just anyoneshe was special, he felt it. Maybe it was Saiyan instinct, but he had a feeling it was something else. Something that made him smile when he looked at her sleeping on HIS couch.
Goodnight, Annie, he whispered, moving closer to her face. I love you. He drew back and retrieved a blanket from his bed and draped it over  her sleeping form.

Annie gave Trunks a thumbs up. Two months later and Trunks was ready to take... HIS DRIVING TEST!
"Name?"
"Trunks Brief."
The woman behind the counter laughed. Trunks sighed... he got that SO often.
"Age?"
"Twenty three."
"First attempt at your liscence?"
"Yes."
"Anything we should no about you medically?"
"No."
"Do you have insurance?"
Trunks rolled his eyes. "I don't NEED insurance."
The lady looked up at him. "Okay, I'll be right back." She turned around and under her breath Trunks could here her mumble, "Young people think they're going to live forever!"
Trunks mumbled back, "If you've lived through what I have you just might."
He stepped outside and a brand new instuctor car thing was pulled up. Another lady offered her hand. "I'll be your driving instructor, nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you."
"Now, get in the car, sir."
Trunks smiled and looked back at Annie who was still grinning and giving the thumbs up.
Both the instructor and Trunks put on their safety belts.
His instructor sat back. "Okay, sir, now what do you do?"
Trunks looked forward and shifted the car to drive as he spoke. "Put into drive...brake off... lightly step on the gas..."
"Okay!"
Trunks smiled and relaxed. "Now... Do a three point turn up here."
Everything would have gone fine had Trunks not backed up ontp the sidewalk hitting a cone labeled 'pedestrian'.
The driving instructor winced.
"Sorry about that!" Trunks exclaimed.
The driving instructor gave a feeble smile. "Go straight down this road until you get to the cones." Trunks traveled straight...  "Very good, sir! Back up again!"
Trunks put the car into reverse and backed up. "Okay. Now go forward again."
Trunks nodded and stepped on the gas... the car, still in reverse, went wheeling backwards, hitting the 'pedestrian' again. "Sir..."
Trunks shut his eyes and yelled at himself, puting the car in drive again.
"Alright, now see those cones? Go around them."
Trunks gulped and expertly manuvered his way around the cones. But about halfway through he hit one... and then another... and then another... and after that he couldn't focus and hit the rest. Trunks turned and grinned sheepishly at the driving instructor, not looking at the road. "Whoops!" He exclaimed.
The driving instructor wasn't paying attention though. "WATCH OUT!" A bang was heard as the car went straight into a pole. The woman instructor and Trunks stepped out of the car to find everyone looking at them. Annie had her eyes covered and was shaking her head
The driving instructor ran around the car and shook her finger at Trunks, who took a step back. "TERRIBLE! NEVER EVER GET BEHIND THE WHEEL OF A CAR AGAIN!"

Trunks and Annie had practically been kicked out of the driving place. "WHAT was THAT Trunks?" Annie asked.
"Um... I buckle under pressure... what can I say?"
Annie rolled her eyes... knowing that it was a complete lie.
