JungHae Kim, harpsichordist, came to the United States as the winner of the 100th Anniversary Korean-American Musical Competition in Seoul, South Korea. She has performed extensively throughout the United States, in Europe, and Asia. She began her studies in harpsichord at the Peabody Conservatory where she earned her Bachelors in Harpsichord Performance. She went on to complete a Masters Degree in Historical performance in Harpsichord at the Oberlin Conservatory, and later was awarded a Haskell Scholarship for post-graduate study in Amsterdam under the tutelage of Gustav Leonhardt. While in the Netherlands, she earned an Advanced Degree in Harpsichord Performance at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam.
In addition to appearing with Mirable, Ms. Kim has performed with the Southern California Chamber Orchestra, Pierce Baroque Dance Company, the Oberlin Baroque Orchestra, the Indiana Baroque Orchestra, the Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra, San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival Period Ensemble, Bradywine Baroque, Florilegia, Musica Angelica, and Music's ReCreation. At present she is actively engaged in a solo and chamber music career, and recently completed a concert tour in Taiwan.
Baroque cellist Joanna Blendulf, a native of Sweden, has diverse musical interests, performing in chamber ensembles and orchestras throughout the United States. She received her musical training at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Indiana University, where she studied with Stanley Ritchie, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi and Alan Harris. In 1998, Joanna was awarded the prestigious Performer's Certificate from Indiana University for outstanding performance in baroque cello. Spending much of her time in transit, she is currently performing with the Portland Baroque Orchestra, America Bach Soloists, Apollo's Fire (Cleveland), the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra and Magnificat. Joanna is an active chamber musician, touring with Bimbetta, American Baroque and Mirable, all based in the San Francisco Bay Area where she resides, and she has recorded on the Dorian and Eclectra labels. Summer engagements have included performances at the Carmel Bach Festival, the Berkeley and Boston Early Music Festivals as well as the Bloomington Early Music Festival.
