JungHae Kim, harpsichordist, came to the United States as the winner of the 100th Anniversary Korean-American Musical Competition in Seoul, South Korea. She has performed extensively throughout the United States, in Europe, and Asia. She began her studies in harpsichord at the Peabody Conservatory where she earned her Bachelors in Harpsichord Performance. She went on to complete a Masters Degree in Historical performance in Harpsichord at the Oberlin Conservatory, and later was awarded a Haskell Scholarship for post-graduate study in Amsterdam under the tutelage of Gustav Leonhardt. While in the Netherlands, she earned an Advanced Degree in Harpsichord Performance at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam. In addition to appearing with Mirable, Ms. Kim has performed with the Southern California Chamber Orchestra, Pierce Baroque Dance Company, the Oberlin Baroque Orchestra, the Indiana Baroque Orchestra, the Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra, San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival Period Ensemble, Bradywine Baroque, Florilegia, Musica Angelica, and Music's ReCreation. At present she is actively engaged in a solo and chamber music career, and recently completed a concert tour in Taiwan. |
