DUMB DELIGHT
drowsy, dim, and doleful eyes, in captivity, roaring son of Nature sore and somnolent in boring dismal den
zoo-zealots amazing art rescued him from wilderness of lush forest of a foreign land set him free in a chain-link haven hiding from bereft skies the fire of his eyes and put him on an ample dole of sixty pounds of lamb a day
a compliment to the zoo mans contriving wit and a boon to the weary weekend visitor too
did he who made the tiger make the zoo? ******* |
