Information: Story Line

Card Captor Sakura by Clamp is the story of a girl name Sakura who accidentally opens the book of clow, scattering all of the cards.

The guardian beast of the seal emerges to tell her that she has great magical powers since she managed to open the book, and that she must now become a card captor and collect all of the cards before they cause any danger. Only Tomoyo, her best friend, Syaoran Li, and her mather teacher know that she collects the clow cards.

There's a lot of different love relations throughout the story. Here's a quick list of who likes who as far as i know, keep in mind that Sakura's and Syaoran's feelings towards each other change throughout the series, so this list still is right:

Syaoran likes Yukito and Sakura
Touya likes Yukito
Mei Lin li likes Syaoran (Anime only)
Chiharu is dating Takashi
Rika is engaged to Terada-sensei

That's all I know so far since I haven't been a fan of Card Captor Sakura for all that long.

I don't know that much about the Sakura cards, except that after Sakura caught all of the clow cards, she has to fight Yue to see if she is worthy to be mistress of the clow cards. Somehow she ends up being worthy and starts making her own cards, the Sakura cards.

Information: Chronicles

The series has had 12 mangas in all, 70 episodes and two movies. The first half of the mangas is the clow cards, the second the sakura cards. The episodes have three seasons in all. I don't know what the first movie is about, but the second movie ended the series with Syaoran having to move back home to Hong Kong. I think the series started 1996 and ended 1998, making it Clamps longs running manga/anime ever.

Information: Dubs

The series was dubbed by Nelvana, and airs on WB's Fridays. Except it isn't called Card Captor Sakura. It's called CardCaptors. Wanna know why? Because Nelvana decided that they wanted boys to watch this girly-girly anime too, and they figured it would only work if they made Syaoran one of the main characters too.

And they cut out just about every single romance, even Chiharu and Takashi, which makes no sense at all because they are a straight, hugs-only couple! The episodes are cut about 2 minutes each, and the show started with episode eight, the one were Li enters.

Information: Manga Translations

Mixx and Tokyopop are doing the official manga translations, and I must say that they are doing a really good job. Even if the above page rants about paper quality, that really isn't important. They left in the variety of love relations, and only changed one name, switching Syaoran's first and last.

Meilin Li never actually shows up in the manga.
