| I do believe that the first time Duane came over to my trailer at St. Anthony, Mike Barnett came over too and we decided to create St. Anthony's first and only PUNK band. Heh. That's why we came up with the code names. Can't say who was who though. That's not what mattered. What mattered was the message we were getting across. Which I can't really mention on here. Pretty messed up stuff!! Heh heh. The cool thing about St.'s and Squirrel was that with every song we wrote.....we changed instruments. No matter how badly we played them. It was great. The St.'s only cut one demo, and that was made after their first or second practice. Squirrel was started the same way. Basically the offspring of St.'s. This time Cary V., Duane, and Mike U. were at my trailer in St. Anthony and we come up with Squirrel. Same type of songs as St.'s and same instrumental arrangement. After every song we would switch instruments. And again........I can't really mention here what the message of the songs were. Squirrel, like the St.'s, only cut one demo which spawned 1 1/2 hits for them. The song called "Bulging........" and "Saggy..........". At least.......that's what I'll call them here. There were a few other small bands started in the same vein as these two......but they never made any hits. |
