puking

Nauseous was sort of born from Pathasin. After a while me and Mike decided to do our own death metal thing as a two man band. It had been just the two of us recording all our other songs....so we tried our hands at death metal. The first song created as Nauseous was "Put You To Sleep"..a song I had written while in Pathasin and wanted to apply to a piece of music we were doing then....but the band decided against it. Now in Nauseous, we mixed the lyrics I had written with the music we had and it was a perfect fit. Again, as with Dr. and St.'s of Anthony and Squirrel, the subject matter of the songs isn't appropriate to be mentioned here. Basically just EXTREME aggressiveness is what we were trying to accomplish with this band.....and I think we have done / are doing that!!!

Fearmaker was going to be the name of my OWN one man band before I decided on Dreams in Black. Then one day when Duane was over, we came up with the idea for him to be my vocalist in this band. Then I thought that if I was going to have a vocalist, I might as well get my best friend and one of the best guitarists I know personally to play guitar for me. After all was said and done, it was no longer what I had in mind. We ended up playing the Creed song "What's This Life For?" over and over and over and over and over again at each practice. We went through a couple of originals, but the main purpose of this for me was to play ONLY originals. I didn't care how it was SUPPOSED to be done....that's how I wanted to do it. Anyhoo.......that whole thing drifted apart. And earlier in 2001, me and Mike decided that we should come up with a band that would be somewhat acceptable to a crowd (ex.: NOT nauseous). After he mentioned that he liked the name Fearmaker, that is who we soon became. We don't get to practice much with our current busy schedule's, but when we do.......the same musical psychic link is still there just like it was when we FIRST started playing music together around 10 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it happened again. We went to see a crappy band and used the anger we felt that people would SETTLE for such crap as fuel to get us excited about getting a band going...........again.

I hope we can stick with it this time because I'm sick of wasting my life away in factory's when I have all of this original music that needs to be heard!!!!! More updates later as this either grows or dies again.

Well, WELL well. We (myself and Mike U.) had our first, sort of, practice session yesterday! First time with me on bass guitar/vocals. It went pretty good!!! We were playing songs that we NEVER thought we'd be playing!! Such as:

     -Cemetary Gates (Pantera)
     -Hook In Mouth (Megadeth)
     -Damage Inc. (Metallica)
     -Seasons In The Abyss !!!!!!! (Slayer)

     ....and others. We both have some work to do before we go about finding a drummer though (which is the only thing we will need!!!). I have to get the lyrics down and be able to play and sing at the same time.......and Mike has some TOUGH leads to get down.
