Listening to: Mazzy Star- "She Hangs Brightly"
Site of the Day: A Woman's Guide on How to Pee Standing Up
Interesting news story of the day: Online Airline Tickets: Buyer Beware (they mention all the air travel web sites all have different prices for the same flights and some take you completely out of the way- like going from New York to Chicago via Cleveland AND Detroit- but we knew all this already, didn't we?)
2000 Summer Games Begin in Sydney (I hardly ever pay attention to the Olympics, but I felt obligated to put a link anyway)
Land!! Southwest Yields Affordable Finds -- If You Can Stand The Heat (and they're not just talking about the temperature)
TiVo Wants Your Sweet Nothings (but the deal isn't available in Arizona or Maryland- two out of the 4 states in which I've lived)

Last night was TV night. I watched the end of "What Dreams May Come" with Brie. What an odd movie. Then I watched the Letterman show and Al Gore was on. He actually was kind of funny and didn't do or say anything too stupid. Lieberman was on The Daily Show (which I missed since it's on at the same time) and he was also on another late night show. He was a busy man that day. Then I watched Ben Stein's Money and I DO NOT like the new chick that took over for Jimmy Kimmel. I think it's because of a cross between trying too hard and reminding me of almost all of the female theatre majors I knew. But I'll continue watching it anyway since it still combines my two favourite things in life- trivia and humour.
I had a question for Harvey today so I called without remembering that I'm supposed to be mad at him. I remembered at the beginning of the conversation and I asked him if we could pretend I wasn't upset with him for a minute so I could ask my question. So I did. I asked my question, he gave me an answer, and then he said, "Okay, do you want to hang up on me now?" So I said okay and hung up. It was very funny and it worked for some odd reason. I think we both know I can't hold a grudge that long even if I try really hard. I'll be there in a week and we'll both act like nothing's wrong. He knows his flaws and I know mine. We're both working on them and I don't think anything else really needs to be said since it'll just be repetition. I love him more than anything and I always will.
1:30 PM
I just flipped on the TV for a minute and caught Saturday Night Live's commercial for HAPPY FUN BALL!!!!!!!! This was one of my favourites and even though I'm already in a good mood, my mood brightened even more!!!!!!! It reminded me of Daniel, Jason, and Anthony's Happy Fun Ball!! I love Happy Fun Ball!!!

My trends since I've been online:
- Looking at music sites for hours. In the beginning of my being online days, I was on several email lists including: Jethro Tull, Too Much Joy, James, and Dave Matthews. I also spent hours looking at those bands' websites and others like: Rusted Root, Dead Can Dance, Tori Amos, and guitar tablature web sites. I loved looking up lyrics and seeing when my favourites aritsts were going to be touring.
- Playing games- what a time waster!
- Then I got into newsgroups, mainly the Jethro Tull newsgroup and the musical theatre newsgroup. This really took up a lot of my time. I haven't looked at a newsgroup in over 2 years. I guess it's just not something that I feel should take up my time.
- Next came Ebay. I started buying a few things and then got heavily into selling. I started with my record collection and then started looking around local thrift shops for things to sell. I did make money; in fact, it helped out a lot when I moved to Phoenix.
- Making money and earning points programs. I joined several and while I didn't make all that much, some of them really added up.
- And in the same category... Epinions!!! I joined since I saw a link to it that said I could make money, but now I just love being part of the community and having my opinions heard.
- I loved the idea of people reading what I was writing so much, next came my online journal.
It's interesting to see how people's online habits have evolved. I'd love to know about other people's.
