Savannah
In April 2001, I went to Savannah and Little Rock (mostly for work, but I managed to have a lot of fun!). I flew to Savannah, rented a car, drove to Little Rock- stopping in Chattanooga, TN to visit my cousin, Dana, whom I hadn't seen in around 10 years, and flew home from Little Rock. Savannah was WONDERFUL! It was everything I expected it to be and more. For work, I talked to the owner of an Internet Art Gallery and a manager of a freight shipping company. For fun, I managed to see many historical sites (like the the Juliette Lowe House and Bonaventure Cemetary), visit the Maritime Museum, find a snowball stand in one of the squares and have a lime snowball, see bad theatre, go to several drinking establishments (where I met many kind people who bought me drinks), and hang out until the wee hours in the morning with friendly southerns the entire time I was there. I will definitely HAVE to go back to Savannah. I didn't see much of Chattanooga (that's why I didn't put any pictures from there on this site). Little Rock was horrible. The people I met were ignorant and gave me bad directions everywhere and there was horrible traffic all day long (reminded me of Phoenix). I didn't take any good pictures of Little Rock, so I didn't put any of them up here either. I wish I took more pictures of Savannah and the people I met, but I was too busy having a good time to remember to take pictures.
