January 24 1:30 AM College Park, MD

Revision of the world comes soon
With happy end upon the moon
I sleep, I sigh, his head on mine
Open the bottle, let's drink some wine
And celebrate the beginning of time.
Come near, come far, from earth below
We come to start, we come to show
The way we are and how to grow.
The flickering light from up above
Carries our message with the snow white dove
Drive on through, we're breaking ground
Then souring up, our way is found.
Ah, peaceful night, this world I know
Will soon be gone with the cock's sharp crow.

Shortcomings of the day bring success
Supersoft envisions, enlightened ways
Advise and wisdom fill the mind
To conquer life's unexpected circumstances
Nomadic life for freedom-
Living on the edge
Regaining life's old habits and ways
No real purpose, no real place
Expanding the circle
Witnessing new things
Surviving on nothing
Recounting the past
Memories resurfacing to be dwelled on
Seeing a blank, unknown future.

I sit and wait for nothing
My bags on two empty chairs
Nowhere to go
Nothing to do
Everyone walking in pairs.
Time moves slowly, waiting
Wondering where to go
Life is only
What you make of it
And depending on who you know.
Now I wait for a friend
Who's letting me crash for a night
With them I go
Feeling secure
And hoping with all my might.

Frenzied acts of confession and crime
Sentenced to jail with no reason
Put through torture.
Everlasting prospects-
Piercing through dark windows
Violence to peace
Shutting out the known probability-
Of life in a cell.
Maintaining sanity-
In a world of murderers
Shifting, dreaming, restless sleeping
Movements of quick, sharp turning
Balancing the body and mind.
Moonlight peeping through the window
Casting ugly shadows upon the bed
Caged life of untrust and disgust
Sharing nothing but space.

February 1 4:30 AM

Siloutte of a woman on a roof
Dancing, frail body adjusting to new balance
Small, quick feet- floating on the slanted surface
Beautiful sunset- illuminating the sky,
While the woman remins dark
No shadows are cast
She notices nothing
The world is silent.
This woman does not know
I watch her this evening
She doesn't know how I long to join her
For a lovely pas de deux on the roof top
Movement is not limited
To float and fly and whirl,
Till the sun retires for the night.

March 9 1:20 PM

Whispering winds of deceitful prejudice
Time collapses on the essence of time
Words of use vs. words of misuse
Lately the wind grows,
Around the community
Heal- heal the ignorant
Show that this world-
Will one day be at peace.

August 19 12:30 AM

Neon in the mirrors
Beefcakes on the floor
Dancing bears around the table
Screaming at the naked for more.
More! More! More!
What are we fighting for?
Laughter at me-me-me-
Why's everybody lookin' at me?
You have a black eye Mr. Monkeyface
Hospital lights above the table
Flat out no- that's what they say
Why- why are there moons there?
Blacklight in the one-way mirrors
Toothpaste on the floor
I'm dyin' in a war out there
Please don't kill me anymore.

September 17 2:30 PM

Square-patched world
That's where we live
Greens & browns
All over the ground
With a high pitched squeak
And a rumble rumble roar
This place ain't gonna be
Around much more.
Work the work
Deck the deck
Criss-cross bird patterns
Shaking the sky
Too much fun
And not enough sun
Check your hair
Before leaving the cabin.
If Jake arrives
In a green silk suit
Shave his beard
For he's to be feared
No more washing
In the blue-hearted pool
My day is done
And I'm still a fool.
