Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10 Jesus will never tarry in a divided heart. He must be all or nothing. The Book of Proverbs Chapter 3:5-6 instructs us to: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." We must make an assertive effort to develop trust in our God. We accomplish this as we study and obey His word daily. M ake a conscience decision daily to look trust and lean on God for what we need and not mankind. We must realize that God is the source of all that we require in our lives. This is a learned process that is only accomplished by study, prayer and faith. In every believer's heart there is a constant struggle between the old nature and the new. If we desire Christ for a perpetual guest, give Him all the keys of thine heart; let not one cabinet be locked up from Him. What is faith? Hebrews 11:1 says: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." when we believe in the Word of God without a visible manifestation that's faith. Our natural instincts tell us that we must see to believe, the Word says that we must believe without seeing. I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, the Show Me state. I had to see it to believe it. I now have learned that I must trust God and His Word with a blind faith. God's Word never fails trust Him. All quoted verses are from the King James Version |
