Marseilles 1997

We arrived very early to explore town, and too late to look for hotel. So, we made it OK. One problem we encountered: all toilets were closed and morning sun didn't make it smell pleasantly from months, perhaps years, of accumulation. Guards with machine guns made us feel safe.

Marseilles is nice port town. It was too early in the season (March) to go swimming. We stayed for a day and went to Barcelona.
