UNDER
THE METALLIFEROUS MINES REGULATIONS, 1961
The Chairman, Board of Mining Examinations and Director General of Mines Safety, Dhanbad is holding examination in November, 2001 (a) at Sitarampur, Ajmer and Hyderabad centres for Mine Manager’s and Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency (both Restricted and Un-restricted type), (b) at Ranchi, Oorgaum, Goa, Ajmer, Chaibasa, Nagpur, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad and Sitarampur for Foreman’s Certificate of Competency, under the Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961. FEES:
(i) 1st Class Manager’s Examination : Rs.100/- (ii) II nd Class Manager’s
Examination: Rs.75/- (iii) Surveyor’s Certificate/ Foreman’s Certificate of
Competency examination Rs.50/- all by Bank Draft/ Indian Postal Order
payable to DGMS at Dhanbad. None need apply who does not possess
practical experience in mines as prescribed under Regulation 16 & 17 of the
Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961 read with relevant bye-laws and who does
not hold valid First Aid, Mate’s and Gas-testing certificate unless exempted
otherwise. The validity of First Aid certificate should extend to a date which
is not earlier than the date of the examination. No provisional certificate
shall be accepted. Practical experience prescribed under Regulations 16 &
17 of the Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961 and conditions attached
therewith under relevant bye-laws are as below:

Note: Candidates are required to mention the scheme
and name and number of paper(s) he wishes to appear in. Application forms
should specifically be obtained either from the office of SECRETARY, BOARD OF
MINING EXAMINATION & DIRECTOR OF MINES SAFETY (EXAMINATION), DHANBAD by
sending a self-addressed envelope (size 22 cm x 10 cm) or can be down loaded
from the website www.dgms.net. Every application form should be
accompanied by: (i) The prescribed form duly filled in with recent attested
passport size photographs affixed at the space provided therein. (ii) DULY
ATTESTED PHOTOCOPIES OF ALL CERTIFICATES OTHER THEN THAT OF MEDICAL, CHARACTER
AND PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE, WHICH SHALL BE ACCEPTED IN ORIGINAL ONLY.
Other original certificates/ documents shall be required only at the time of
ORAL EXAMINATIONS. (iii) Two self-addressed, stamped (Rs.25/- each)
envelopes of size 22 cm x 10 cm enclosing four additional
pass port size attested photographs. THE APPLICATIONS WILL BE RECEIVED BY POST
ONLY AND NOT BY HAND/ PERSONAL DELIVERY. Applications, which are not in
prescribed form, not properly
filled in, and are not accompanied by the required documents, shall stand
rejected . All old and new candidates must submit all required documents
alongwith the application to avoid rejection. Application form alongwith all
required certificates documents should be sent to THE SECRETARY, BOARD OF
MINING EXAMINATIONS & DIRECTOR OF MINES SAFETY (EXAMINATION), DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF MINES SAFETY,
DHANBAD-826001 (JHARKHAND) by registered post only so as to reach on or before 31st August, 2001.
NB- 1.
Applicants who had appeared earlier in
similar examinations shall mention the ID. No and Roll. No with the year without fail.
2. Applicants are required to submit Character, Medical and practical
experience certificates in original only. Duly attested photocopies of all
other required certificates etc., shall be acceptable.
