My name is Imelda and I am a Confessed Addicted Miniature Fanatic !!
This is my Minihome on the net.
**My Dream House**
My very first Dolls House was Built by My Father
It had been Made As a Christmas Present when I was about 8 years old,
It was a Large Bungalow, which I had  to share with my three Sister's,
The Roof came off, so as we could  play with the rooms inside,
My Mother had made the Curtains from an Old Petticoat of hers, which matched up with the bedclothes, My Dad had also made the Furniture which was Only the Basics compared to what can be Achieved these days but I remember the hours he spent making them Perfect.
We Loved that old Doll house and Had many days of fun, with the Pipe Cleaner dolls which had Also been made for us, click on the Doll Instructions below for Full Sized Image

We Borrowed a Metal Car from my bother and took the dolls all over the Garden Pretending to be on an Expedition.
I don't remember what Happened to it when we grew  older as we were sent to Boarding School as My Father had been in the British Forces (R.E.M.E.) and our Schoolwork was Important and we Needed English Teaching.
               UPDATE
I was more than Fortunate this year 2006
to find and Win a Replica to the house my father built us ...
some tender loving care will soon restore the bungalow to it's former glory one day
The Next Dolls House I Fell in Love with was The Queens Dolls House, which I saw while Living in London, and Always Promised  myself one like it one day.
I started in Miniatures a long long time ago when my  brother received a HO train set for Christmas. my Father was an avid collector  We used to make the roads and grass from sawdust colored with food coloring. We made houses for the  villages and towns from cardboard. (I have a train set of my own which is in N gauge and about 25 years old which now lives  under my bed. (Yes it still works!)
A Sample of the Sort of buildings we made,

When I first started there weren't many places that sold this sort of thing. In my time I have made many a  house and room box  for people. I received my first computer about 7 years ago and   played around making wallpapers using different fonts in Microsoft Word. I   then made little books and covers for my library. I taught myself how to use   the Window's paint program. Other than Microsoft office photo editor, I also   use InfranView and acdsee. Both have their equal uses.

I searched the web for other dollhouse related Printies, but kept going   around in circles, seeing the same things over and over. I decided to make   more of my own. I then found the MSAT   groups and had grown in confidence over My First two years with them Suz I   can never thank enough for the Start she gave Me,
I have enjoyed making and giving my Printies for   pleasure.
Prinites can be found in my Many Different Photo   Albums Links are at the Bottom of the Page.
I have fulfilled requests from play scale down to 1/4   scale and each with very happy recipients.
